The delay in the payout of monies to farmers from critical farm support schemes will not be changed, Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue confirmed, despite huge opposition from farm organisations.

Payments under the Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) will be delayed by almost a month this year, while payment under the new BISS scheme will be pushed back by over a week.
