Biodiversity on Burren farms falls since switch to ACRES

The biodiversity of farms in the Burren has dropped sharply in the 10 months since the Burren Programme ended and was replaced by ACRES.

Founders of the groundbreaking Burren Programme Brendan Dunford and Sharon Parr resigned in October 2022 because they felt the new Burren Aran ACRES Scheme was not fit for purpose.
