ANC and BISS payments set to start in mid-October following delays
ICMSA President Pat McCormack said that the delay had been caused by issues around IT logistics in the Department.
Payments under the Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) Scheme and the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) are set to start in October, following delays of up to three weeks.
ANC payments began issuing to farmers last year on September 20, and with an expected delay this year of three weeks, farmers can expect to receive payment no earlier than Wednesday, October 11.
