Farmers who receive an ACRES payment above the amount they are eligible for in February will have that overpayment clawed back through other schemes over the coming year.

Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue sought to overcome IT issues that were delaying ACRES scheme payments by announcing an interim payment of €4,000, with farmers in the higher paid ACRES Co-operation Project areas getting €5,000.
