On a blisteringly hot afternoon, in the midst of the pandemic, and right on the heels of the cancelled ‘Lover’ tour, Taylor Swift announced the arrival of her next album with a day’s notice.

Her eighth studio-album, Folklore, was introduced as the receptacle for all of her “whims, dreams, fears, and musings”.
