Taylor Swift fans heading to her hugely anticipated tour dates at the Aviva Stadium next weekend have been warned that they cannot camp outside the venue.

The chart-topping singer will perform three sold-out dates in Dublin as part of her Eras world tour and Swifties have been urged to heed the advice of promoters and not queue too early or camp outside the stadium.

"If patrons do turn up early, security and An Garda Síochána will be on patrol in advance and will turn away anyone arriving early at the venue who does not have an early entry ticket,” organisers said.

"Queuing in the streets around the stadium causes disruption and we appeal to patrons to heed this advice and respect the local community. Customers should plan to be within the venue 45 minutes before the show starts.”

Promoters MCD have issued advice to fans lucky enough to secure tickets to the gigs, including how best to reach the venue and important things to know.

Concert goers should allow “at least three hours travel time to and from the venue” and should be aware that traffic and parking delays are inevitable and strict traffic cordons will be in place two hours before the event.

Fans are encouraged to walk, use public transport and private coach services.

Swift will perform in “rain, hail or shine” and concert goers should keep the Irish weather in mind when dressing for the gig, including having a raincoat and suncream.

No umbrellas, collapsible camping chairs, glass or metal containers are allowed in the venue. A full list of prohibited items and advice to fans is available on the MCD website.

Fans must enter through the entry point specified on their ticket and will be subject to strict security checks on the way into and sometimes inside the venue.

The blue route enters via Shelbourne Road, the orange route enters via Landsowne Road, the purple route enters via Herbert Road and the red route – which is the gold circle – enters via Bath Avenue.

“Patrons are especially advised not to bring large bags or backpacks as they may experience delays or be refused entry,” promoters warn.

Under 16s must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over the age of 25 and remain with them throughout the event, while unaccompanied under 16s will be refused entry without refund.

Those aged 5 to 15 will be allowed on the pitch as long as they are accompanied.

"Aviva Stadium is in a residential area, we would appeal to all patrons to respect the local community by not littering, not engaging in anti-social behaviour and by not parking illegally,” organisers said.

"Please respect the stadium neighbours. Thank you for your support and enjoy the concert.”
