Electric Picnic has announced 10 brand-new acts to its line-up including Ireland’s Eurovision contestant Bambie Thug, as well as CMAT and Villagers.

Bambie, who finished sixth for Ireland in Malmo in August, achieving Ireland’s best finish in 24 years, is set to play a huge set on the Sunday.

The Sunday line-up already boasts an impressive roster of Kylie Minogue and British award-winning artist RAYE, who will headline the final night.

Friday’s headliners are Noah Kahan and Gerry Cinnamon, while Calvin Harris and Kodaline will headline the Saturday night.

Over 75,000 music fans will descend on Stradbally Estate on August 16-18, after organisers increased the festival’s capacity by 5,000 and moved it from its traditional spot in the calendar which was the final weekend of August/first weekend in September.

Also for the first time, the main stage at Electric Picnic will be connected to the grid and powered by renewable energy, marking the first time a festival of its kind in the UK and Ireland will install mains power to reduce its carbon footprint.

Irish singer-songwriter Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, known as CMAT, will make a welcome return to the festival after wowing crowds in 2022.

Fresh from winning the Choice Music Prize earlier this year, first time attendees Lankum will also perform.

Ivor Novello winner Villagers brings his uniquely nuanced and melodic fusion of folk, pop and rock to Stradbally.

The festival’s 20th anniversary will coincide with The Stranglers 50th anniversary tour, after they were added to the line-up.

Eurovision fans have something else to rejoice as both Bambie Thug and two-time winner Loreen make their EP debuts.

Next month, Cork-born artist Bambie is set to embark on their huge debut European headline tour.

The ‘Crown The Witch’ tour will kick off in Brighton on August 30, and see Bambie perform 31 headline dates across Europe, including sold-out shows in Dublin, Galway, Amsterdam and more.

The tour will culminate with a huge homecoming show at the Cork City Hall on November 7 this year.

Also added to the line-up is Limerick podcaster Blindboy who will host a special podcast as well as music from daydreamers, Cardinals and Zimmer90.
