Overweight and Over-dimensional Vehicle Permits

Town of Banff approves overweight and over-dimensional vehicle permits through Alberta Transportation’s TRAVIS Multi-Jurisdiction (TRAVIS-MJ) permitting system.

Please see the following for specific Town of Banff TRAVIS permit conditions.

Note: Trans-Canada Hwy 1 is outside of the Town of Banff municipal boundary.  To obtain Road Authority approvals for travel within Banff National Park (outside of the Town of Banff municipal boundary), contact Parks Canada Highway Operations:  Chris.siddall@pc.gc.ca and Leah.goetz@pc.gc.ca
