If today’s rugby match showed us anything, it’s that South Africans never give up. Siya Kolisi and the team fought hard in the game against Ireland, giving their all until the bitter end. Thank you for giving us a reason to once again come together as a nation – around the Durban rugby field, in a cosy local restaurant, around the braai fire… We will never stop being proud of our Bokke! #VisitSouthAfrica

YES, South Africa is spectacular in the summer. But during winter, our beautiful country comes alive in a whole different way. For starters, winter is the perfect time to go on safari and cosy up at a private game lodge. South Africa has a wide variety of wilderness experiences and accommodation that ranges from luxury bush retreats and community-conscious lodges to tree houses. Our country is home to the most sought-after birds, giant crocodiles, leopards and hippos which are much easier to spot during this season. What an amazing event the TGCSA Annual Assessor Conference was! We wrapped up day two of our conference with an insightful panel discussion featuring industry leaders and a powerful statement from Mr. Glenton de Kock of SAACI: "The importance of quality assurance is being quality assured." Graded establishments enhance credibility with visitors by showcasing adherence to safety and quality standards, thereby increasing trust and giving your establishment a competitive edge by attracting more visitors who want to be assured of quality. Don't miss the opportunity to be rated among the stars here: https://bit.ly/4cpvKYo #TGCSA #TGCSAConference24

Noxolo Daniel - Quality Assurance & Development Manager, shared an inspiring and heartwarming story about the success of the Basic Quality Verification program rolled out in KwaZulu-Natal. To further promote inclusive economic growth in the tourism sector, the BQV program utilises the skills of unemployed tourism graduates who are trained as evaluators in their local areas. The Basic Quality Verification project provides a structured approach that builds confidence in many accommodation products, especially those in rural areas. This enables tourism products that do not meet the core requirements of grading to access trade with the support of the tourism sector, and it provides access to funding opportunities to develop their offerings to meet formal grading requirements over time.
