Amazing food, great location and decent service.

Reviewed Jan 30, 2022
We stayed in a garden view double. It was quiet. Plenty of hot water. Decent size room. No issues with power. With Covid, I wasn't sure what to expect-- but they did temp checks twice a day and it was very safe (better than the US right now). They also made it very easy to get tests to leave (and inexpensive). The food was incredible! Lots of flavor and menus changed up-- but do not expect what is on the website. You will need to ask for a kids menu. For breakfast they can order whatever though. (We had bacon every day) As with lots of places, there is a huge turnover in staff, so they didn't always know answers to questions about what was and wasn't included, but mostly it was OK. Nancy was a highlight! She is very sweet-- and was so attentive to my son. As was Nurse Liz! Make sure you ask a lot of questions and get the dine around option-- it is 100EC per person if you stay for 7 nights plus and on a MAP or all inclusive. The local places are in walking distance and a change of pace.
There was a fair amount of misinformation and confusion when you asked staff about the MAP and kids food-- but be persistent and patient. The Splash Park was a blast- and hard! We took out a kayak too. There's also a great hike up Mt. Pimard if you walk to the end of the beach by Marie's ($20 for a fish platter). The Kids Club was non-existent. And when I asked about the tie dye class noted on the chalkboard that didn't happen, no one made up for it. They do manage to try to sell you a timeshare though. Overall it was great-- and the sister properties are not as nicely located-- if you have a kid, don't stay anywhere else. The pool and beach were great.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for beach view-- the tide coming is in quite loud.

Beach is wonderful and our room very good and so very quiet. Nit do much as a banging door. The restaurant and food, were not really acceptable. However the egg man for breakfast did everything we asked perfectly.
People staying at the cheaper sister hotel had far better food options.
Something that I found, odd, disgusting and very very strange was being expected to reuse my cutlery through the courses. I refused to do this but had to give in eventually due to being instructed to remove my cutlery from my plate before they would clear the table.
There is a lady who sells rotisserie on the beach... they are amazing!

Room tip: Stay at the cheaper sister hotel and take the shuttle to the beach. Lots of people did this and they really praised the other hotel.

This was our first visit to the hotel and sadly we won’t be returning due to various issues. Today we had nice sunbeds on the beach and really enjoying ourselves until a large group of people turned up next to us and took over the area playing very loud music and spoiling everyone’s enjoyment. When I spoke with the Policeman who was close by he stated he couldn’t hear loud music (he must have an hearing impairment) and did nothing to help the situation. The group were drinking spirits on the beach and were definitely not sober. He claimed it was a public beach and just walked away. The hotel security did nothing to help the situation but they are soon there if kids are playing on the water splash without permission. In the end we gave up and left as nothing was being done. Spoilt our holiday experience..The food isn’t anything to write about either. This hotel is quick to try and sell you timeshares but not there for you when you need them.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Everything was great especially the staff from check in to both manager especially the restaurant mgr, all made this hotel so hospitable. We had half board, and every day was great. The location is perfect right in front of reduit beach which has the most amazing sunsets, some of the best I've ever seen on a beach especially with mountain in the backdrop. All my excursions were booked through front desk so need to book anywhere else prior to coming and were reasonable. Covid rapid test were $40 on site to get back to USA. All the ladies working here were wonderful . Hats off to you in covid.

This place was amazing and the staff are the reason we say this. They were so attentive and treated us like family, always remembered our names, our drink preferences, saved us chairs on the beach everyday. We can’t say enough great things about the staff … the only downside was we wish there were more food/restaurant choices at the resort.

We stayed at Bay Gardens Beach Resort for the first few nights of our honeymoon and it was brilliant. They went the extra mile to make it special for us and the excursion coordinator, Beatrice, was excellent. The only improvement we could see was the quality of the food but as we were bed and breakfast only there were plenty of great local places to eat in the evening. I believe this is one of the only hotels in St Lucia owned and run by local people which made it all the more enjoyable- you could tell that the staff took great pride in the service and atmosphere. We will definitely visit again!
