First of all this place is NOT 4 stars.
It is a nice 3 star small resort with a dated pool that never has enough seating around it for the amount of gusts . There is no real spa even though it advertises that.
The worst part of the experience were the abundance of ants in the apartment . Everything in the interior felt dark, dingy and dated .
They advertise that they are beachfront but there is a 3-5 Walk to a rocky beach where you cannot sit or swim. To do that you have to work further up the beach for about 10 minutes .

I stayed here for my first trip to Costa Rica for my best friends wedding. The hotel is beautiful to say the least but the staff really made the stay worthwhile. The bar and restaurant were a short walk from my room and the staff, specifically at the bar and restaurant made me feel at home and were great at making sure I had everything I needed. Jhordan and Fabricio who worked at the restaurant were always super friendly and made sure that I was making the most of my vacation. The service I received from these two was outstanding, probably the best I have ever experienced at a hotel. If you are traveling to Costa Rica and are staying at or near Tamarindo beach you would be crazy not to stay at this hotel. Easily one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. PURA VIDA!!!

We chose Cala Luna for our wedding block for our guests and ourselves and it was the best experience ever! From the service, to the restaurants, to the amazing pool, it really felt like a Costa Rican vacation for everyone! All the guests had such an amazing experience and want to go back!

Dixie and David were amazing to work with! I’ve been working with Dixie since 2020 to make everything perfect and she was FANTASTIC! David helped me organize my wedding rehearsal dinner at the property as well as a private yoga session for my bridesmaids, and he was spot on! It was perfect in every way from the food to the recommended entertainment! He also helped me schedule shuttles for our welcome dinner as well!

I also got a massage here from Camila and she was wonderful! It was such a cute room and her massage actually helped me relax so much that I fell asleep!

Highly recommend 10/10 experience! So much fun and such great people! Pura Vida!!
