Maintenance should be more responsive to needs of customers especially when it is critical items like Door Knob Lock, and electrical issues with exposed wires. Maintenance was not responsive when we reported the door lock knob had fallen off, and the outlet cover by the vanity sink mirror was detached from the wall exposing the outlet and wiring. The Mini refrigerator was not cooling, drinks were at room temperature, was reported and no replacement offered.
Great experience hotel personal very kind rooms were clean and beds very comfortable just make sure you bring water shoes for waikiki beach. There are rocks and sea urchins. The hotel had chairs and beach pools.
Perfect location on Waikiki. Feels like a home away from home. Have stayed here on 4 different trips and will be going back. The staff are wonderful. The decor is a little tired but still supremely comfortable
It is attached to a shopping center and easy access to the beach. Easy to find food. Free activities included in the resort free. Ku'uipo has shared her love of Hawaiian heritage with us. I was delighted to learn about Hawaii and its rich culture. I will stay there again.
Everything mechanical functions well. The A/C works, elevator works, blow dryer works, shower works. In the room, everything that needs to be clean is clean. In that regard, I am satisfied.
The only reason I could not give full stars in my review is that the condition of the common areas, especially the escalator and the business plaza looks worn and out of date. All other hotels in the region have gone through some sort of overhaul or major renovation already. Plus, the swimming pool is kind of small for a "resort" that charges almost $60 a day for resort fees.
In short, this is a high-end resort that charges high-end fees for everything. But it is not modernized enough. It may be adequate if it was 2003; but not quite in 2023.
