The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa boasts a stunning location favored by guests for its immediate beach access and surrounding attractions. While the vibrant atmosphere with live performances is a highlight, some guests feel the resort's decor could use a refresh. The attentive service receives commendations, although elevator wait times can test one's patience. Room cleanliness is generally upheld, yet the noise levels can be bothersome. Travelers caution that the value is impacted by high resort fees and pricey extras, but the breathtaking views from the rooms offer some compensation.

We stayed at the corner room located in the Ewa tower 19FL for 3 nights. The view from the room was amazing.. we could see the Waikiki beach and the city buildings together.

The room was well cleaned and spacious enough to open all our luggage on the floor. The furnitures was well maintained.

We enjoyed dinner buffet on the 3rd floor.. the outdoor tables were perfect to enjoy the sunset from Waikiki beach. The food was very nice, especially fresh oysters, scallops and king crabs were very delicious.

The hotel location is right middle of the Waikiki so it was so convenient to walk around to all the shops and restaurants.

What I liked the most was the hotel cares the environment. They placed reusable water bottles and a bag in the room. We refilled the water from the hotel and carried them.. very useful!

We will definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit.

We had a very pleasant ocean front room on the 31floor The club level was added and much worth the extra money, Over the week, we had a variety of breakfasts, and snacks available to us. The desserts they offered were the same cookies each night. Although they were good the first night, it would have been nice to change dessert up a bit. Towels and beach chairs were always available The pool area clean with food and drinks available to buy The hot top was large and very comforting after a long day of fun The location of hotel was perfect and a short distance to most things we did.

We stayed here for 8 nights and loved it! First, you can't beat the location. There are plenty of dining options and lots of shopping nearby but most importantly, it is right across from the beach! No, it is not on the beach. But if you can walk across one crosswalk, then save yourself the money it would cost to book one that is on the beach. We saved over $1000 by choosing this hotel over Moana and Royal Hawaiian. No regrets.

Our room was ready a few hours early. I requested a high floor and the 29th floor did not disappoint. Our room was spacious enough and clean. The air conditioning kicked a**. The shower was great. It was super helpful having a fridge in the room and we also really appreciated the slippers and water bottles. With the water stations on each floor, this was a great way to save money instead of buying endless bottled water. We also appreciated the guest laundry on the 4th floor. It was only six bucks to wash and dry a load. On our third night, there was a roach on the floor. We killed it and immediately reported it to the front desk. I told them that if I see another, I will need to switch rooms. (I never saw another..and believe me, I look for them). Upon my requesting that the room be sprayed (and this was pretty late at night), they were prompt on coming up to spray. The customer service throughout our stay was fantastic. We had mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary and they sent up a voucher for a couple free drinks. That was a nice touch. My only suggestion would be to add more free channels to the tv guide; preferably movie channels. We weren't in the room that much but a few more options would have been nice. We would absolutely stay here again! I recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Stayed here for 6 nights with kids ages 10-16. From all the major details of providing us ocean view and connecting rooms to minor details of providing hand sanitizer stations, reusable water bottle and tote bag....this hotel and staff made our stay terrific, beyond our expectations. Prior to our stay here, we spent 5 nights at the Hilton Hawaiian village b/c other family members were staying there. We were truly disappointed with the service received at Hilton. At Hilton, we felt the hotel was impacted by its closure due to covid. Hilton re-opened only a few days before we arrived and it was noticeable that they’ve had better days. Stayed in Hilton rainbow tower... rooms were not sparkle clean w/ issues that we had to get fixed, like shower handle being jammed, fridge not working, battery replaced in smoke alarm. Staff was hard to reach for cleaning, etc. So glad we ended our vaca at Hyatt. Few positive things we noticed that Hyatt did better than Hilton...mini speaker at front desk so we can hear staff thru the plexiglass, better amenities like ear plugs, toothbrush, etc,, Hyatt provided beach chairs (pool attendant was super friendly and handed otter pops to kids), had consistent room cleaning service (Hilton made us call for cleaning but it was so hard to reach a staff person), friendly staff to help with luggage and greeting us each day, Shur onsite restaurant available for pool food orders. It did not feel like services were cut out b/c of covid at Hyatt. Pool hours are shortened but that was expected. Location of Hyatt regency is perfect. So close to beach and ample food choices. Walk to Shops and Surfing stores to rent surf boards, etc. Definitely a hotel to return to.

Of all our stays in Honolulu, this was by far our favorite hotel. Location is perfect-directly across street from Waikiki Beach. The hotel provides you beach towels and Tommy Bahama beach chairs to take to the beach. The hotel pool is lovely with great ocean views.

The hotel has a cool amenity of texting questions and getting immediate answers. We texted to have our room made up...the texted back and sent house immediately. We texted for surfing lessons recommendations and they text back with a location across street that provides hotel guests a discount.

The hotel provides water bottles in your room that you can refill at water stations on every floor of the hotel. So convenient!!

We will definitely stay again. Picture attached is sunset from our balcony.

During our January 2023 trip to Waikiki we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki across from Waikiki Beach and it was awesome.

EVERYTHING you could want was within walking distance from the hotel!! The beach was directly across the street, where you could rent beach chairs and umbrella's from Oahu Dive (the hotel provided chairs and towels to guests, so we just got the umbrella).

The Hyatt had a vendor/farmers market on-site Monday and Wednesday (weekly) with great fresh food and fruit options! We had an ocean view room on the 19th floor that didn't disappoint...we left the patio door open the entire trip to hear the waves all night long!

There are also several island excursions that will pick you up and drop you back off from this Hyatt location, which was great since we opted not to rent a vehicle. hotel also provided two refillable water bottles in the room and a filtered refilling station near the lobby! Check in and out was easy and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Overall, I felt this was a great resort and provided everything we needed for our stay and was in the center of everything.

We couldn't have chosen a better location, our room was directly facing the beach which was truly magnificent. The room was very clean and spacious but the furniture needed an update. All of the staff that we encountered from the front desk to the housekeeping staff and any store clerks within the complex were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that the selection of restaurants were very few. We ate at other restaurants our whole stay.

Beautiful hotel just across the street from the beach in the middle of all the shops. Limited amount of Tommy Bahama beach chairs that can be taken to the beach and beach towels provided. We stayed in the Diamond Tower and it was beautiful and seemed recently refurbished. The elevators were super fast. Coin laundry available. We had a Costco package with breakfast included and resort fee waived which made it that much more attractive to stay. Breakfast was basically the same every day with minor things switched out every other day. Parking was $50 a day with in and out privileges, but is not guaranteed each day. Some days it was full and we were sent to the international marketplace down the street to park. Get back before 7-8pm if you want parking. The parking garage is very small and tight (spots and aisles) and the employees come whipping around before and after their shifts so be careful. If you have a large car it may be difficult to park. Mini fridge in the room was nice. We had a partial ocean view which was gorgeous every morning to sit on the balcony and watch. Unfortunately we had very rowdy neighbors (family who left just teenage kids in the room next to us and loved to scream between 10-11pm every single night). That isn’t the hotels fault. Hotel must have been pet friendly as there were tons of dogs around. Rooms were pretty spacious with good storage by the vanity. Great access to charge devices by the beds and counters. Small in room safe. Super responsive if we asked for towels, toiletries, etc. Would stay again.

Got upgraded to diamond head ocean front room, amazing view and location was central allowing us to experience all of Waikiki.

The beach was right across the street and abc store right downstairs so very convenient for picking up water and sunblock.

The pool and hot tub was great and they give you towels and beach chairs to use.

They also provide free water bottles and filtered water at the ice machine.

We chose the Hyatt Regency for the location and previous stats at other Hyatt Regency locations. Our stay was for 2 rooms in the ocean front room for 14 days and it was great. The rooms were clean and we were on a higher floor so views of sunrise and sunset were perfect. The rooms were high enough that the road/city noise was not an issue and the sliding doors really shut off any outside noise when needed. The rooms were plenty big and the bathroom area was a single sink but more than enough counter space and storage. The balcony had a nice small table that we snacked on and able to enjoy drinks while taking in everything on this great trip. The rooms had mini refrigerators and microwaves for convenience.

The resort fee does include beach chairs and towels so going to the 3rd floor to grab these was a great touch. Parking was not included with this and that was an additional charge. I have read the reviews of parking in the structure but I have to say I feel many of the negative reviews are exaggerated. We had a mid size SUV and never had an issue parking and navigating the parking lot was not a big deal. It’s Waikiki and parking is tight and going to be tight everywhere and it’s a minor adjustment if you’ve lived in any big city. There are 2 ABC stores on the main level and it appears there is one on the 3rd level but it was closed but they are a great convenience for access to any sort of grocery/alcohol/souvenir/snacks and you don’t have to leave the property.

Overall great experience at the Hyatt Regency and we had plenty of other options to choose from for those trip but we are very happy with our choice and look forward to staying here again in the future.

The only con I have it with the World of Hyatt program and not being able to earn “nights” towards my rewards/status as we should have accumulated 28 nights for this stay but that’s my fault for not reading the fine print :)

Thank you Hyatt Regency Waikiki!
