Close to the waikiki beach, good restaurants, good little shops and good service. Expensive restaurants and little pool. The hotel seems renovated but still looks outdated on elevators, balconies, and hallways.

The Hyatt on Waikiki Beach is very nice hotel but on the lower end of a "4-Star" resort. It is very expensive and it comes with cheap/standard amenities found at most hotels. The location is honestly the most convenient part of the hotel. It is located on the busy main strip of Waikiki Beach and is within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. HOWEVER, the convenience of the location does not outweigh the cost. Expect resort fees to exceed an additional $50 a day. Parking is not free and another $50 a day if you self park in the unorganized parking garage. Hawaii is a marijuana-legal state. We unfortunately had a neighbor smoking non-stop and after we reported the issue to the front desk, they generously upgraded us to a different room within the hour. So my hat is off to the exceptional service I received.

The location of the hotel was exceptional, right across the street from the beach. Waikiki HOHO trolley stopped right across the street. There was entertainment at the park which did not block the view from any of the rooms at all. There was green space at the beach in addition to just sand areas to relax. It wasn’t too crowded anytime we went. Police substation was close so we felt extremely safe. The hotel itself had a lot to offer. We found it to be extremely clean and comfortable.
