This hotel is brand new but the staff make it feel like they've been around forever. The front desk team was so friendly (Diego and Erika!) and made a real effort to make us feel special the entire stay. Super attentive and effortlessly kind.

The neighborhood is perfect (easy walking distance the Highline, shopping, galleries and museums, great restaurants); the rooms are beautiful (we had a phenomenal view of the Hudson River); super comfy beds and nice linens; and fun technology in the rooms and throughout the hotel (great wireless, chargers, TV and movies, etc.). There are multiple places to eat or grab a drink - each with a different feel so something for everyone (sports bar, cocktail lounge, cafe, etc.). The pool is also great - a real treat to have an outdoor pool in NYC.

Maybe a small thing but the whole place smells incredible - the fragrance isn't too strong but is subtly beautiful. This is a nice change from the rest of NYC in the summer and immediately makes you feel relaxed coming off of a busy street. There are lots of subtly wonderful things like this that make the hotel a stand-out, particularly as most of the other hotels in this neighborhood feel dated and a little tired - this reimagined Gansevoort is a wonderful addition.

I moved out of NYC in 2020 (Covid) and have begun coming back regularly for work/life. Stayed at the Gansevoort last week for the first time and it was hands down my best hotel stay yet in New York. Clean, sleek room and amenities were all wonderful and the entire staff is exceptional (particularly the manager Anton, can't say enough about him). This will be my go-to place going forward. From checking in, to seeing the views of the city from my two balconies, to spending many hours at the rooftop pool I had an amazing stay here. My trip was for pleasure and relaxation. All of this was achieved at the this property. The staff is very attentive, kind and experienced. The amenities are nice and clean. The location is perfect. You are a quick walk to a Starbucks reserve, Chelsea Market, The Highline and many of the best parts of the city.
