Campervan spot was nice

Reviewed Jun 16, 2023via mobile
Nice campground overall for a few nights. Positive for us was it having a few campervan/tent sites with power just what we needed a small rental escapecampervan. Had a nice view over Moab. Showers and toilets okay, nothing amazing and no different to most campsites. Could probably do with a few more. Only two mens toilets 2 urinals and 2 showers. Staff friendly and shop was decent. Good location just outside main town centre less than a 5 min drive. Can't comment on behalf of the bigger RV spaces as we only had small van.

Ok park, nothing great, sites very close .....................................
busy highway by the park with lots of truck traffic. there is a better park more in moab
but handy to Arches National Park.. make sure you get a time to enter the park. They go by entry times...

This is primarily an RV park and we stayed in a tent. So my perspective is as a tenter. Tent spaces are tiny and practically on top of each other. The plots may have a little grass, but were mostly hard sand and gravel. We were surrounded by RVs instead of nature and very near a loud, busy road. At night, lights are everywhere. The bathrooms and showers were fairly clean. There is free, adequate wifi. We had an electricity at our site, but had no need for it. Quiet hours start at 10 pm. At 9:45pm, people next to us idled their car engine and turned on their headlights for quite awhile as they slammed the car door repeatedly while packing up to leave. They were inconsiderate. We had hiked many miles that day and were actually asleep by 9 pm and were awaked by the noise and bright light. Maybe that's typical behavior in an RV park? We ended up paying for a small site, utilities we didn't need and the convenience of our camping neighbors.

My wife and I stayed at Moab Rim Campark for two nights in early May; camped in a travel trailer. The first night, campers in site next to us stayed up drinking and partying loudly until after midnight (quiet hours are 10:00 PM - 6 AM; we were advised of this when we checked in.) They got up and started their off road vehicle (Ford Bronco, V8 - very loud) at 5:45 AM to rev the engine and work on it. We got very little sleep. First time ever at an RV park where we've experienced such disturbance, chalked it up to neighbors excitement about getting to Moab for off-roading; left for Arches National Park pretty early so didn't report this. Second night... bigger party at site next to us, with more people, drunken partyers loudly yelling obscenities. Although I was concerned about confronting a bunch of drunks in early morning, I went out of our trailer at 12:30 AM and let them know they were disturbing us (they and their raging fire were only about 4-5 feet from our trailer) and asked that they please observe quiet hours so we could sleep. Got pushback and snide remarks from the partyers, but they grudgingly disbanded and the party was over sometime after 1:00 AM, although their bonfire didn't go out for another hour or two. When checking out the following morning, I advised the office that we had hardly slept the last two nights because of loud, drunken neighbors in campsite next to us. I was admonished for not reporting this sooner, and told that it was a group of off-roaders that had given the RV Park problems before. Due to lost sleep and terrible experience, I requested a refund for one night. Was told by office representative that the owner/manager would call me to discuss this whole issue; never heard a word from anyone. Evidently, there is no monitoring or control of campers at this park; it is campers' responsibility to police the campground themselves. If you value peace and quiet, I strongly recommend you avoid this RV Park. We will never go back.

Similar to what other reviewers said, this place BIG time saved us. Our day hike went longer than expected and we found ourselves in need of a last minute place to stay. Most of the places we found had already closed for the night but these guys were open late (and were much less expensive than the local KOA).

The woman who runs it is wonderful - she helped us get organized and oriented (we are not RV experts and she helped answer a bunch of our questions.)

Highly recommend.

Room tip: Open late

We were there just over a week ago. The weather was constantly changing and our plans had to be modified almost daily. They worked with us and changed our reservations repeatedly. Special thanks to Carol who worked hard to make sure we had a place to stay. Without her help, the trip would have been a lot more stressful and a lot less fun.
Nice place, clean, small store with good variety, good wifi, easy access, and one of my favorite parts... warm bathrooms and showers. I hate "freeze drying" after my shower lol.

Room tip: Fills up so book as early as possible.
