Clean, Safe & Friendly

Reviewed May 28, 2022
Visited Moab at a very busy time. After looking at several corporate owned parks (most of them without vacancy and overpriced) we went to Moab Rim Campark. They were very accommodating with spacious first-come-first-serve overflow camping (all reservation sites were full). Very reasonably priced and included access to shower and bathroom facilities, dishwashing station, wifi and complementary coffee in the mornings. Staff were overall very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and well kept. While we were there we went ahead and reserved a full hook-up RV site for next year.

Absolutely the worst place I have stayed at. The bathrooms were a disgusting FILTHY mess. Mold(?) and filth in all corners, down the shower walls, spider webs, used bath supplies, and hair on the shower floors. The stalls are so small that after the shower the little space you get dressed in was all wet and dirty. Tiny camp spaces. You almost sit with your neighbors. The little wood picnic coverings are great tho. They have a little patch of grass that they water and maintain at each site, so that is also nice. Especially considering you are in Moab. If you have your own facilities then it would be better.

Office was open until 9 PM which was helpful for us arriving later in the evening. Felt very family friendly & safe. Staff was very helpful & kind. Perfect place to stay to be located close to Moab and all that Moab has to offer!

Bottom line up front: sneaky business practices and terrible customer service. Make up rules that aren’t written down anywhere on the fly. Call customer a lair.

Stayed for 14 days in a Rv spot, location was ok, utv friendly, amenities were basic which was fine for us. Showers and bathrooms were clean which was good the problem was at the end of the stay. Went to check out and asked about my discount that was available to me at the time a called to make the reservation and I was told too bad you should have told us to apply it at the beginning of the stay. I let the employee know I asked about the discount when I made the reservation and I am still here why can’t I get it applied. I was told you had to tell them to apply the discount as soon as you checked in or you don’t get it even though he also told me that the policy is not written down anywhere and I just should have known.

He also let me know that they have so many discounts that so many people could get but if you don’t ensure you get it at check in you don’t get it at all. He also said because he was not on the phone with me at the time I reserved he couldn’t have known for sure if the employee told me that was the policy.

I told him I never seen a company have a policy like that before and there was no way of me to know that and everywhere else as along as I asked about the discount prior to leaving they would apply it.

Can not stand shady business practices and policies that are not written for the customers to see/acknowledge. Will not be staying at this campground again because of their fly by the seat of their pants rules. They get a two because the bathrooms were clean.

This is a small RV Park (<50 Sites) just out of town on a hill off a busy highway - it gets quiet at night. On arrival, we were warmly greeted and assigned our site. The mostly level crushed stone sites are off crushed stone access roads, and there are cement pads for the picnic tables. The sites have modern convenient hookups that functioned properly. We did not try the OTA stations (I suspect none available) or the cable TV, but there is a big sky for satellite. Their included WiFi was better than average - always providing a strong signal that was useful, and the Verizon cell service is good. Some spots have nice shade, and most have a good view.

Note: this appears to be the last privately owned RV Park in Moab. The others have been bought up by National Chains.

Stayed here 3 nights while in Moab. Beautiful sunsets over Moab. Daniel helped us out big time our first night there. The only space available was in the overflow where there is no electric. My husband and I both have to use cpaps to sleep. Daniel found a big enough space for us near an electric outlet and hooked us up with a long extension cord. We arrived after 9:30 pm, but he would not rest until he had us all hooked up. We appreciate his effort to make us comfortable. The other two nights we had a shady spot with beautiful sunset views where we played the music (acoustic guitar and micro bass) quietly entertaining our neighbors. Some even joined in singing with us. One of the fun things we love about camping. Highly recommend this park.
