I never thought I’d be one of them people that wasted their time writing a review while I was still on holiday. But unfortunately I’ve had to write this one.

The quick version of this review is it was awful and should be avoided unless you are Dutch. If you can be bothered reading why I’ll go into more detail below.

I have been to Turkey about 5 times, this was the most expensive but probably the worst holiday I’ve been on here. There were 7 of us that travelled in total, 4 adults and 3 children.

Rooms.
The rooms were ok but certainly not 5 star. The beds were ok, but there was only one single sheet on our double bed. We were in 1612 and our friends were next door in 1613. These rooms should be avoided at all costs. As said in other reviews the music was far too loud until 1am every night. We faced the pool area and thought we had been given good rooms until we tried to get to sleep. Which was impossible until after the Turkish Creamfields finished every night. The DJ could do with a few lessons too because he couldn’t mix to save his life. Our friends couldn’t open their front door without moving one of the beds out of the way. The mini bar was empty when we arrived and was only topped up once while we were there. We also ran out of toilet paper on one of the days as it hadn’t been replenished and had to get one from our friends.

Food

The food was ok, but definitely not the best. It was the same pretty much everyday, but anything that was good was taken quickly by whoever got there first. Breakfast was certainly not catered for the English so we only ever had toast and a bit of jam. I’ve never seen so many people have chips and nuggets at 9am in my whole lifeDespite there being a large selection of ham at breakfast it vanished at lunchtime and it was impossible to make a sandwich. Dinner was the best out of the three sittings, but it was pot luck on whether you got there at the right time or not. The food at the pool was ok but the same every day.

Drinks

The drinks were very much hit and miss, none were ever the same and very dependent on who made them. They do have a beer garden though that just serves beer. This is definitely the best place to go for a beer and we walked down from the pool and brought them back up.

Pool

The pool area has definitely seen better days, there were lots of broken and missing tiles in and out of the pool. It was really sloppy too and we seen a lot of people fall over. A lady actually split her head open, they had to take her to hospital. My wife cut her foot on a broken tile in the pool too.

Entertainment

This was the worst thing about our holiday and left the majority of the guest complaining while we were there. On our 5th night we were stopped from going into the main entertainment area as it was a private party for the Dutch guests. We tried to go in but we’re told it was for the Dutch only as they had paid a lot of money to be here. I didn’t realise my holiday was free. While I thought this wasn’t right, I would have been far more understanding if we were pre warned. The real problem came on the next night. We had been out all day at Land of Legends we came home got showered and went down to watch the entertainment but we’re told it was another private party for the Dutch as they’d paid a lot of money to be there. My wife went to guest relations to ask if there was any entertainment for guest that were not Dutch to be told no, and that they deserved a private area because they had paid a lot of money to be here. The cherry on the icing on the cake is that tomorrow is going to be another private party for the Dutch guests and if we have a problem we need to take it up with the manager. I don’t think I’ll waste my time though because they couldn’t care less what their English guest think. As I’ve already said the music was far too loud and some of the heaviest Turkish Techno I’ve ever heard. This was every night until 1am. I’m no prude but if I need to wake up at 7am to get to get on the most expensive pirate ship known to man then I could do with an early night.

To whoever responds to the Trip advisor reviews please don’t bother because I know you couldn’t care less in all honesty.

Awful hotel. We are staying here now on our 6th night. If you are English DO NOT stay here !
We have had 3 nights of entertainment then we have been refused entry for the rest of the holiday for a Dutch private party. When we complained they said the Holland people have paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel. I’m not being funny but it’s cost us, a family of 4 £3200 for 8nights so we have paid a lot of money too !
Food is bland. The same every night and not much choice at all.
Pool is okay but the main slide (snake) has been shut for maintenance.
Tiles are all cracked. My daughter cut her foot and an elderly lady tripped on a hole and cut her head open.
Most of The staff are moody apart from a few of the young lads.
Rooms are cramped we can’t open our front door because of the bottom on the bed. We have no bedding we had to rob it from the laundry cupboard.
Music is that loud our room is shaking and stays on till 1, 2 in the morning.
Mirrors are impossible to get ready in. I think it’s for decoration and effect but it looks like rust on the mirror.
One night we had no hot water and had to get a cold shower.
I would never recommend this hotel and will certainly not be staying at any crystal hotel again.
