Best Spot in VEGAS

Reviewed Jul 26, 2021
This was our fav casino out of the 15+ we drifted in and out of on the strip and on Freemont. Initial impression: super clean, friendly staff, affordable gaming, fun crowd, frequent waitresses rounding on tables and slots, good music in background, plenty of open tables, great slot variety, HUGE sports betting area, huge BINGO room, huge bowling alley. Best food in Vegas if you love authentic Chinese...get into Ping Pang Pong and try the noodle spot for Hot Pots.

After our flight was cancelled and we had nowhere to go for 3 days, I decided I would call and see about rooms. I explained our 'being stranded' situation to the desk clerk "Alexis?", she immediately checked my member # on the gaming card, told me I had one comp night available, added a second, and got us the other night for an EXTREMELY affordable and surprising rate. We had no clue what to expect of the room at that rate. IT WAS GORGEOUS!!! The rooms are non smoking. The bed was so comfortable, carpet was immaculate, shower ran hot, tub was sparkling clean, fixtures are new, internet was fast, AC worked perfectly, curtains blacked out nicely, and housekeeping was adamant regarding checking on the status of the room.

The pool is key card guest only, clean, hot tub that is also clean, plenty of sun chairs and always stocked with clean towels. Restroom at pool is also key card consisting of toilet with privacy wall, shower with curtain, sink, etc. One person at a time but I never saw anyone waiting. Kid friendly, but not overrun so adults can still enjoy it on adult holiday.

This has one of the few places to eat past 10pm right now in the new COVID Vegas, with a TGI Fridays in the casino. There also is another restaurant...Cornerstone? Good good food. TGI Fridays will gladly put your drinks in a to go cup for the pool as well. Also saw a Subway in casino. Basically, very affordable food and then for better quality and a little more upscale try Ping Pang Pong. OMG. Find that menu online.

There is a Walgreens, Del Taco, and Dennys across the street - can walk to them.

BINGO was a BLAST !!!! Staff super helpful showing you all the e-games and kept it fun.

Pit Bosses pay attention at this casino and the dealers were great.

Best thing that happened to us was getting stranded for 3 days and being able to spend time in this hotel/casino. We definitely will be heading back and we will not stay or play anywhere else.

We needed a place to stay to do some business in Las Vegas and wanted to be able to easily access our car to come and go. It worked well for that, and the room was nicely appointed and comfortable. It did have a pretty terrible view of the casino's rooftop satellite dishes and HVAC system though (watch out for the 4th floor.) My main complaint was that although it was a nonsmoking room, there was a persistent, faint cigarette smell. Some of the clothing that I didn't wear outside the room came home smelling like an ashtray. Also, someone had tied a plastic bag over the smoke alarm. Not a super glamorous stay, but very workable and priced quite well.

Room tip: Higher floor= better view

Arrived at the hotel around noon. We got into our room right away. We had 3 nights of com rooms and no resort fees. Our room was on the second floor. Security was always checking if you had your room key. The security employees were always very helpful and friendly fun to talk to. The room was fine very clean not fancy. You had the choice at check-in if you wanted you room cleaned on a daily basis or not. If not you needed to call if you wanted your room cleaned. The floors have long hallways so if you have mobility concerns you might want to request a room closer to the elevator. No masks restrictions in the casinos anymore. You are are suppose to wear a mask if you have not been vaccinated, you are on your honor. I have had the shot. It has a fitness center, I used it. The pool is small, but not many people. The employees were great, the beverage service was excellent and friendly. Marilyn at the front desk was great. Ate at the Cornerstone Steaks House. The service was great and so was the food. We ate there twice. My wife always plays bingo and had lots of fun. Good choice of slots. We had lots of fun and will be returning the second week of August. By the way they do have a shuttle now running to the strip again. 12:00 to 8:00 I think the times are. Thanks again to employees at the Gold Coast for a wonderful job making our stay very enjoyable.

Room tip: Noise not a problem. Long hallways if you have mobility concerns you may ask to be closer to the elev.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Great stay each time. We just got back from a Memorial Weekend trip. Rooms are clean. We usually have breakfast at the TGIF there in the hotel. Good food. They offer a free shuttle that can take you to the strip. (There is an app for the shuttle)

We went to play Bingo and also played the slots and even Keno.
We were very lucky there and won at all 3 which was great.
We ended up eating dinner at Ping, Pang, Pong and their food is very good and well worth the money

Nice part is they have a bowling alley and an arcade for kids but the downfall is your bed might have bed bugs . My wife found a bed bug while coming back from the restroom, we called the front desk and they sent someone and the guy seemed not to care . He simply asked ok ? What do you want me to do ? Most definitely won’t be staying here .
