lost our Disney Fort wilderness reservations (made almost 2 years ago) because of the new reservation policies Disney has enacted (no changes to dates or guest list). I scrambled to find alternatives in the area to save my planned family get together = glad I did. This place is well maintained and clean (bath houses and pool were very nice and much less crowded) and had more (traditional and free) in-park events. It also had a shuffleboard court and a small putt putt golf course (nothing fancy but a nice way to spend some time together) We also liked being in the center of the area around old town and Fun spot amusement center. Just seconds to get to stores, restaurants and 20 minutes from Universal, Sea world and Aquatica (we went to them all - sorry Disney: no cash for you this trip after how you treated longterm customers) Next time we will also plan a day at Fun spot with a pass. (Everyone loved the go-carts). we plan to add more trips to Tropical palms to our yearly plans and reduce the number of trips to Disney's Fort (we currently make 5 to 7 trips a year to fort wilderness) Oh, and did I mention that it is MUCH more affordable than Fort wilderness. Want to say thanks to everyone who worked at Tropical for being so helpful and friendly.
