There should be 2 double beds in the studio cabins rather than 1 with pullout couch. The office should be open until 9 or 10 pm so that you can get towels or other items. We ran out of towels and toilet paper and had to go to buy toilet paper because the office closed at 5 pm.

The RV sites are really close, the roads are too narrow with trees right on the edge and you have to drive your rig thru a maze of narrow roads and trees to find your site. Was told to check in online and I wouldn't have to stop and check in upon arrival. Well that was not accurate. I still had to stop and check in. Was also told that within 24 hours of arrival i'd receive my site location in an email because they aren't allowed to tell you over the phone. I never received an email with site location. So I tried calling the office to find it out and was on hold 1 hour and 20 min before I finally hung up. Every time you leave and enter the park you are supposed to show your park pass...well thats not enough they want also drivers license. The pool was clean but the staff was not very nice and made it impossible for the family to have much fun at even with reserving our 2 hour swimming block of time. I don't feel I really got my "Bang for my buck" at this "Resort" I think they have some leadership issues between management and staff. If felt that no one was on the same page. The good that was it had golf carts you can rent and drive 5 min down to Old Town which was very nice.

We went back to tropical palms for the fifth time . The place seemed to be kept up nice and the staff were friendly. The pool area was nice . The cottage are starting to show some wear . Even the elite model we stayed in was in need of some updates . But we enjoyed the stay completely. The only issue we had was the pool restaurant, they had very strange hours and seemed to run out of food and liquor every day . Some of the staff were rude and acted like you were bothering them. They also keep reminding us that they were not owned by the resort . We really don’t mind paying for the over priced food and $7 margaritas just for the convenience. But it seems to me they could make a lot more money and make everyone’s stay much more enjoyable if they had better management.

The water line break meant that no water was available to us. Surprised that there was no hot tub and really disappointed that the pool, which was supposed to be heated, was so UNDER heated that we did not see a person in it, during our entire 3 day stay, not even kids. We stayed in the very back row and with no sewer, were forced to use the site's bathrooms. The rows in the last 3 rows are so long that, if you were in the middle like us, its a 300-400 yd walk to the end of ea ch and then back 300-400 yds back to get to the bathrooms. Should have a walkway half way between the ends of the rows. Check in was confusing; pulled up behind another RV and sat there for 15 minutes before we realized we must leave our rig and go to the office. Could also use a LOT more signage to direct people to the showers, pool, etc.. This place is bordering on a 4 to 5 rating out of 5. But there are some definite improvements that need to be made.

My family stayed for Father's Day weekend. Upon arrival the staff were friendly at the front desk. Things went downhill after that. To start off, our cottage's air conditioner did not work. Called for maintenance. They were prompt in taking care of that, however only one end of the cottage stayed cool, the other end vents did not blow well. The key system is horrible. You get one key card and then you download an app to 'wave' in front of the sensor, which never worked. The doors automatically lock when you go out, so thankfully we had someone in the cottage to let us in most of the time, but was very frustrating to say the least. First night after being gone to parks most of the day came back at midnight to no hot water. That was fun [not]. No on-call maintenance overnight so just had to deal with it. Next morning maintenance came to let us know, 'Oh, you have to flip the switch for the hot water.' Well, would have been nice to have a label on the switch that turns the hot water on or knowing someone was checking in, should have already been 'on'. We did have a good location right behind the pool and the pool area is nice. The cafe was closed as well as playground for renovation. The unit could use more utensils, such as pizza cutter, baking sheet, a knife that actually cuts through a steak [only butter knives in unit]. This may be petty, but having worked in cabin rental business for 10 years, I know these are things we stocked in cabins to make stays more convenient. The coffee maker was literally one small cup. You have to request towel exchange as there was enough towels for one per person. [Not a big deal but still inconvenient]. The front desk tried to be as accommodating as they could but if you're trying to enjoy your stay you do not want to be called upon several times a day to see if there is anything they can do for you. They should also have signs posted for pet owners to be responsible for picking up after their pets. We had several people who let their dogs drop a load right in our front yard area, of which my husband was none to happy to get off the golf cart right into a big pile of poo. I know this should be primarily the pet owners responsibility {we have pets of our own] but some signs reminders and maybe providing the small pet poo bags could go a long way. The facilities are nice and it's within walking distance to Old Town which was a plus. Just was a very stressful stay with the air conditioner not working, hot water issue, the key cards not working etcetera.

Beautiful park and the staff is fabulous . Close to everything you want to do .The RV park is very clean ,rest rooms and laundry pristeen and inexpensive to do laundry you can use your debt card or purchase a card to use . A must see is the Museum of Military History .

In walking distance from old town theme park. Also golf carts available for rent from facility apx $69 per day. Pets of all breads are welcome as long as the owner has control and every walk is a pet friendly walk with poop bags at every turn.

This is our second time staying at Tropical Palms Resort. We went for Memorial Day weekend and it was fantastic. We did have a small problem with the refrigerator in the cabin. At first it wasn't cooling and we informed the front desk. They immediately had someone come over to fix it. After that, it froze some of the food but this was not a big deal for us. The AC also stopped working one morning and again, they immediately sent someone over and we never had an issue with it after. Any items we needed (more trash bags, towels, toilet paper), we'd let them know and they were immediately brought to us. The pool was nice and clean and they had a DJ for the weekend at the pool which we thought was really fun! The cabin was incredibly comfortable and my kids especially loved the loft. We will be returning again soon and bringing some of our extended family!!

1. Regular sized coffee pots in the cabin
2. More golf cart rentals on holiday weekends.

The cottage we stayed in was really cute. A little small but we knew it was going to be. Everything was very clean except there was some mold on top of the cabinet in the spare bedroom. My daughter saw it when she was on the top bunk bed. I told them at check out. I was not to concerned. There was no moldy odor in the cottage and everything else was spotless. It was great that they had all the dishes and utensils we needed on site as well. The house keeping manager was super nice too. She was very eager to get anything we needed. The beds were kind of uncomfortable and the master only had a full size which was rough because my fiancé is 6'4''. His feet were hanging off but the space did not allow for much more. Location was great. Very close to everything and easy to get around.

We stayed for two nights at a premium site which cost us $300. We requested a site big enough for our 40ft Class A and our trailer for our golf cart. The site was very small, we barely had room to park our golf cart and pull our chairs and tables out. The site next to us had his camper washed and detailed bright and early on a Saturday morning for almost two hours. The sound of the pressure washing and generator was loud and obnoxious.
We’ve stayed there many times but this will be our last.
