Stayed overnight here before our cruise. Love the location it's a quiet area close to the beach. The company that runs this hotel has a bunch of hotels in this area. Had to wait a while for someone to come check us in. Room was clean and basic just what we needed.

I stayed here for four nights in January. The location was excellent- right by the beach, there were a few quiet cafes, restaurants and bars a five minute walk away and you're only about a fifteen minute walk from shops and the bustling restaurants and bars on the strip.

The room itself was fairly neat and tidy and had all the regular amenities- safe, fridge, microwave, coffee maker.

The employees at the front desk were very nice however they were rarely available. I rang the front bell a number of times and no one came. It was getting down to 8c at night and needed a blanket however I never got one because I couldn't get in touch with anyone working there.

I think the value was superb for Fort Lauderdale if you're keen on staying near the beach. My main qualm was with the shower- the shower curtain was soiled and pretty disgusting and the tub was so clogged that it started filling up immediately once the shower was on. If they could ensure a cleaner bathroom situation, someone at the front desk most times of the day, a better coffee maker (the coffee was super watery) and actually pay for cable tv it would be an amazing place to stay!

Let me first start off by saying this is a quaint small boutique hotel that is cute and clean and fine -ONLY IF IT IS NOT SPRING BREAK.

I was there this past week NOT AS A SPRING BREAKER and it was a nightmare. Literally the entire place was college kids who were so rude and loud and the hotel is so tiny that you could literally hear college kids partying and yelling and being obnoxious every hour of every day including all night long. My daughter and I did not get a nights rest the entire time we were there. There is no mention on any booking site about how terrible this is during spring break. I would have never stayed there knowing it was Spring Break.

Our first night in the middle of the night the kids who were staying next door to us, one of them either fell through the window or hit it or something happened and the entire hotel window was knocked out and it sounded like glass shattering in my own room it was so loud!! The 2nd night another kid through a chair off the 3rd floor into the pool. It was a disaster and the hotel staff did not try and keep these kids tamed or quiet or ask them to leave the hotel. This went on every night and they were obnoxious all night long with no respect to other people staying at the hotel.

If you are not a college kid do not stay here during March or April or near spring break. The hotels alllow these kids to be obnoxious and rude.

The place itself was a cute hotel, clean and a good location.

We stayed at Tropi Rock for a few nights awaiting our cruise. Rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. 24 hour check in was really good as we arrived very late. It's close to everything. Great for the price.

I was a bit nervous after reading the negative reviews of this hotel after booking. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I had let the staff know via text that I would be arriving late to check in and to please not give away my reservation; a staff member was ready for me and very nice!
The room itself was spacious and clean-- no complaints there! Every room seemed to have nice wooden chairs outside so that you could sit out in the sun if you did not want to go down to ground level. The bed was comfortable enough (though with a VERY thin comforter) and the area was excellent-- near some great restaurants and within walking distance of the beach. The door was a bit warped and hard to open, however (at first I was unsure if my electronic key was working).
The only thing that really bothered me about the stay was that the water is YELLOW in this hotel. Unsure what the reason was, but both when I showered and when I filled up a glass for drinking I noticed a distinct yellow hue (I did not end up drinking the water).
All things considered, I would definitely come back to stay at the Tropirock again as the prices are far below other Fort Lauderdale hotels in the area. For the price paid, it was a little above average stay.

Rooms are quite clean and spacious. Most rooms are pool facing. There are chairs outside for one to sit and enjoy the view. Beach is about 5 minutes walk. There are few restaurants and shops nearby, but most are at 15-20 minute walking distance.

Rooms have a refrigerator, TV and coffee maker. The air-conditioner was the only let down as if couple of service was overdue.
