My experience with Coconut Cove was the worst I have ever experienced. The website is very deceptive. Our suite was very dirty. The keypad on the microwave was hanging off the machine. The legs on the coffee table were falling off. Both bedside lamps were broken. After bring these issues to the manager’s attention he rudely told me I should have paid more for a better room. They charged $113. for “incidentals “ but we never saw anyone to ask for a clean towel or bar of soap. We checked out early due to the awful conditions. I was then charged another $95.20 with no explanation of this charge. I called the management company for Coconut Cove to report all the issues and unexplained charges. DON’T waste your money on this place!

Another awesome stay as we were in the area for a high school graduation party. Room was cleaned and well equipped, COVID-19 procedures were used throughout the hotel. Two great days at their pool area and their private beach down the street.

Front Desk - Impolite and unhelpful

Rooms - not very clean, especially the floors. You are told when you get here that there’s no maid service. They claimed it was due to COVID but I’ve seen reviews before the pandemic that say the same thing.

Parking - Absolute nightmare. Room sleeps 5-6 people but they won’t allow you to have Park a second vehicle, despite the fact that when we stayed the parking lot was mostly empty. Front desk person claimed I was told that on my confirmation email, so I showed it to her and she had to admit that it says no such thing. They finally charged me for a second parking pass after having to argue with them about it for an extended time. The only other alternative is metered parking.

Resort Fees - This place is a motel, not a resort, yet they charge you 10 dollars per person per day resort fee. Of course they don’t tell you that ahead of time either.

Location - Not so great. Across from a torn up construction site. You have to walk a ways to get to the beach.

Kitchen - Only nice thing I can say is that there is a full kitchen. Next time I’d rather eat out and just stay someplace else.

Bottom line - Do yourself a favor, save yourself some hassle and just don’t stay here.
