Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Pros: Location, price, and the two female employees we encountered. Size of suite was great for 2adults, 2 teens, and a 9yo. Semi-private beach was great. Resort has a warm pool with a waterfall. Beach and pool toys available in the deck box near the pool. Front desk had a beach chair for us to use. Unlimited bottled water.
Cons: floor is filthy. Would it hurt to use a Swiffer mop before check in??? Gentleman at the desk was sarcastic when I asked for the beach chair that the ladies said we could borrow the day before. Was bothered when we asked about the cookies promised in the lobby (never got any) and also said absolutely no late checkout (asked for an extra hour) yet we hung out at the pool and they never started cleaning our room until 12:30.
Overall we would return but likely avoid the lobby unless the women were there :-).

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate the feedback. During the busy time of the season we do not offer late check outs. We do this to give our housekeepers ample time to clean each suite. With suites double the size of most standard hotel rooms, it does take a bit of time to ready the room for the next guest. Cookies are complimentary and on a first come first serve basis and placed in the lobby at 3:30 each and every afternoon. We do approximately 6 dozen cookies per day and yes they are popular and yes they do go fast. As for beach chairs, we do provide them to guests if we have them available. These are chairs that are left behind by guests who simply can not bring them back on airplanes. These also are on a first come first serve basis and there never seems to be more thank 3 or 4 in storage at any time. We do offer beach chairs, umbrellas and a small table for rent at our semi private beach. We are sorry if this was not communicated to you during the check in process. Thank you again for staying with us, it was our pleasure to serve you during your vacation.

It's all about the details. First off the location is OK. To access the beach you have to lug your belongings up the street and then cross the street. Check-in needs to be vastly improved. You have to park in the lot in the rear of the property, we discovered it by mistake as there are no clear markings or signs instructing you to do so. Luckily we arrived before 9pm because to access the office, you either have to walk through the pool area or walk around on the street to access the office after 9pm. There was no housekeeping during our stay but they offered me a broom to clean my own room. 1,600.00 for 3 nights and I'm cleaning my own room? Absolutely unprofessional on the properties part. A future big deal breaker for us, that I seen no mention of while booking the room, is there are no elevators. Carrying luggage up and down the cramped stair well was quite the pain. DO NOT stay here if you have a disability that requires assistance for mobility because you will be sleeping in the parking lot under the buildings and quite frankly, there care nothing of the fact that they offer no assistance for disabled people. I can speak to this because my girlfriend has mobility problems. We stayed one night but asked if we could cancel the next two nights but we were informed that we will be charged a two night minimum if we stay or go, thank you for you lack of consideration, Coconut Cove GM. Another bit of advice for travelers. Bring your own pillows. The pillows are best described as tiny rectangular bricks.

It was ok, but not all that I expected. I planned a 3 day trip with my husband. I picked this hotel, but when we arrived I was feeling a bit let down. We booked it because the photos showed a very lively pool area, a lobby dog and availability for dogs, and a private beach area. The pool area was pretty dead though. We didn’t see 1 person use the pool. We were going to but it didn’t work out, but the last day we were leaving I noticed a bunch of debree at the bottom of the pool and branches which turned me off. Also, there was no lobby dog… lol. That’s not too big of a deal but we were looking forward to seeing dogs. Also, we never used the private beach area but we also never asked about it. I didn’t realize every room is a SUITE STYLE so if you don’t need a kitchen area with a dishwasher and oven, I wouldn’t waste your money on these rooms. It’s kind of like apartment style when you walk in with a little living room area. When you walk in there’s a welcome mat so the theme is like you’re in a 1 bedroom apartment. Overall, the place was NOT dirty but it also wasn’t anything SPECTACULAR. If you want something more upscale, I wouldn’t book here. It was also pretty dead around here which isn’t bad but it was just kind of sorry. There are washers and dryers which is nice. But would I come back again? No.. not for a vacation unless I had a family that required kitchen use. It’s not dreamy or lively or pleasing to the eye. It’s just alright. A place to stay. But nothing to rave about. Also nothing completely disastrous to say don’t come at all. It’s just alright.

Nice property. Lovely pool. HOWEVER the rooms are not whay I expected. Throughout our family's three night stay, we took a bath in a pool of water in the tub, found mold in the bathroom, very dusty, dirty sheets, bathroom door looks as if somebody vomited behind the door in the toilet and had not been cleaned, tv remotes were filthy, etc. I asked for clean sheets on day one and advised that they could bring the sheets to the room and dropped them off (since during covid they advise you at check in that they do not do daily housekeeping, which we understood). The man came to my room as we were getting dressed, did not knock, and busted the room door open and without apology drop the sheets on the couch in the front room. It went down from there. For those considering, good luck. Maybe your room will be better than mine. Considering that covid is still alive and well, you would assume that it would be much cleaner than it was. Very disappointed.

My experience with Coconut Cove was the worst I have ever experienced. The website is very deceptive. Our suite was very dirty. The keypad on the microwave was hanging off the machine. The legs on the coffee table were falling off. Both bedside lamps were broken. After bring these issues to the manager’s attention he rudely told me I should have paid more for a better room. They charged $113. for “incidentals “ but we never saw anyone to ask for a clean towel or bar of soap. We checked out early due to the awful conditions. I was then charged another $95.20 with no explanation of this charge. I called the management company for Coconut Cove to report all the issues and unexplained charges. DON’T waste your money on this place!

The only ring good about this place was...it was clean! It started off bad at check-in, we paid $1800 for the week & at check-in was told we had to pay an additional $160 for use of the pool, wifi & business center (which was just a desk right there in the main lobby)...which we didn't use any of the 3!
We had to go purchase dishes because the stuff they had needed to be trashed & there wasn't things needed for daily use!
For the price we paid we could've been at a much better place! They got me once...We'll never stay here again!

This hotel is disgusting!! We are not Covid fearful but we stayed here April 2021 when Florida still had some regulations about cleanliness etc. The bathroom didn’t even look like it had been thoroughly cleaned. Trash on floor behind the garbage can and hairs on the floor. Torn shower curtain that looked like it was from the 1970’s. Moldy shower. Hide-a-bed was like sleeping in a hole filled with springs. We left a day early because we were so grossed out. Check out the picture of my socks which turned black after wearing them on the floors for only an hour or so!! Enough said! Stay away at all costs!!

We had a bad experience with the hotel we had booked and were desperate for a place to stay. We happened upon Coconut Cove. Everyone was so nice. The pool was beautiful and we had our own private beach. There were many placed to eat within walking distance and Clearwater Beach was also within walking distance.

Well. You get what you pay for. The room was spacious. The sheets were not soft. Should bring your own beach towel if u plan to swim. Our kids feet were black within 5 minutes of getting out of the bath. We had to have sheets brought up for the couch bed so we asked the guy for a mop so we could clean the floor. He kinda chuckled and said probably not this time of night. So I used towel and water from sink to clean. All in all not aweful but, not the best experience either

This was a great surprise. We got this on a deal through Travelocity and it didn’t disappoint. It has a living room area with a couch and tv. A full kitchen with a stove, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. They even provided dishes! The bathroom was huge and so was the bedroom (we had a king suite). The room had newer flooring and was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

7.5 feet is the depth at the deepest end of the pool. 50% of the hotel is under 5 foot in depth.
The hotel is simply a lodging accommodation and has no affiliation with the time share portion of the trip.
