It is what it is!

We have been traveling cross country in the time of covid and have been looking specifically for places 1) where you can flush the room with fresh air, either by opening a window or a door onto the outside and 2) which do not have central air conditioning -- so ideally we're looking for older motels with a window unit in each room which are for some reason also safe and clean and reasonable -- it is a challenge! Knights Inn (now called Adara) totally meets this. It is somewhat shabby around the edges and you won't be tempted to hang out in your room all day or take snapshots of the (perfectly fine) pool but the rooms are genuinely clean and the atmosphere is safe and reasonably wholesome. It's what Motel 6 *should* be. Also very well located.

The location was in a very convenient location and was quite clean. Stayed 2 nights at the end of our trip where we would be gone for the majority of our day in day trips. The bed was comfortable, would have been nice to have a thicker blanket and an extra pillow. Nice to have a mini-fridge in the room for snacks and drinks - motel did not have a corkscrew for us to borrow but there was lots of options for stores around the motel.

Knights Inn Palm Springs is an affordable, reliable property. The rooms have been upgraded and the facility is always clean. To my knowledge, microwaves, refrigerators, tables and chairs are standard in each room along with comfortable beds. Inn staff are pleasant and efficient. Two-thumbs up!

I've stayed at several "motels" in Palm Springs over the years, and this one is better than most-- recently updated rooms that kept some of the older, historic furnishings (in the bathroom, for example).
Check in was simple and easy. My room assigned was on the upstairs corner, and it was huge and had a comfortable bed, microwave, and fridge.
Nice pool, too.
If prices remain reasonable, this will remain my hotel of choice in Palm Springs!

We stayed at Knights Inn for one night in April 2019. It was fine for our needs, as we were just passing through. It's a motel with a retro vibe, where fresh paint colors and linens do add a cheery cleanliness, but if you look too closely you will see that the place is shabby. So don't look closely! I say as long as you take it for what it is, and keep your expectations low, you'll be fine.

The one huge problem with our stay had nothing to do with the motel or the staff and everything to do with the neighbors. The folks in the room next to us partied loudly for most of the night. Every time I started to fall asleep there would be loud bangs against the wall and I would wake up again. Their music was insanely loud and it kept my family up all night. At one point, I just stopped trying to fall asleep, as it was useless. I didn't tell the management, but the noise was a huge disappointment and got us off on the wrong foot in the morning.

Room tip: The pool was a highlight.

We spent a month there in august and it was wonderful. We were 'meant' to be on a road trip but just kind of stayed a while and enjoyed the ambience. Red haired lady on front desk couldn't have been more helpful. The pool there is wonderful too. Also really quiet which is saying something for Palm Springs. We'll be back (April-May)
