Just Okay

We stayed ground floor with patio outside pool area. The hotel has very thin walls and we could hear neighbors talking next door and every time throughout the night that people flushed the toilet, a loud horn sound came through the walls. We stayed one night and checked out the next morning and spent the remainder of our stay at an Airbnb. If you’re looking for family hotel and affordable, and you don’t mind noise then this is a good option. However if you’re looking for peace and quiet not sure this is the right hotel for you or maybe higher floors are better.

Room tip: Walls are very thin and the hotel is a combination of indoor hotel and motel with some rooms outdoors.

Nice place, but......

The hotel room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the food was good. However, the bloodsuckers charged $28 per day as a "facility fee" plus $2.94 tax on the facility fee. And that doesn't include the Monterey County occupancy tax of $24.06 and a $4.50 tourism fee. When booking, be aware that the daily price quoted for a room is considerably below what you actually pay.

Sadly, an awful room

Make sure to try the mattress and pillow and turn on your heater before accepting your room. We returned after dinner to find our mattress is rock hard, there isn’t a proper blanket on the bed and the heater sounds like a rocket ship going off. Anddd The pillows are rediculously lumpy. We’ve stayed here many times however, this room is a deal breaker. May not be returning!

Exceptional Customer Service

The level of service provided by your staff, particularly Jose at the front desk and Angel in the restaurant, was truly outstanding. Jose's professionalism and attention to detail made check-in seamless, while Angel's bright personality and attentive service in the restaurant added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.

Angel, in particular, stood out as a bright light during our dining experiences. Her helpfulness and genuine warmth made our meal a delightful experience. It's refreshing to encounter such dedicated and friendly individuals in the hospitality industry.

A Blissful Getaway at Carmel Mission Inn

Our stay at Carmel Mission Inn was truly exceptional. Nestled along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway in Carmel, this modern yet unpretentious hotel provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway.

The recently refreshed rooms exuded comfort, creating a welcoming retreat. The oasis courtyard, complete with a heated pool and hot tub, offered a serene escape within the hotel grounds.

What made our stay truly special was the genuine pet-friendly atmosphere. Traveling with my fiance and our small dog, we felt warmly welcomed throughout.

Situated in the heart of Carmel, the hotel's prime location along the Pacific Coast Highway made exploring the town and its surroundings effortlessly convenient.

A highlight of our stay was Shearwater Tavern, an on-site gem offering delightful culinary experiences in a charming setting.

In summary, Carmel Mission Inn exceeded our expectations with its modern amenities, pet-friendly approach, and convenient location. I highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Carmel.
