Great Stay at this hotel -
the staff do a great job of keeping this place top-tier
-Susan and the catering team do a great job with the breakfast. the spread is great, and they manage to keep it well stocked despite morning rush.
- Rooms are clean and neat.
-checkout/in staff were very friendly
- location is right next to the Carlsbad airport
- 15 min from Legoland
- free parking
- the only issue was with spotty Wifi.

We stayed here to visit family in San Marcos. Very nice friendly front desk staff. Free parking, free breakfast w big selection. Clean. Comfy beds. Great shower. Possibly best shower ever. Would absolutely stay here again. Spotty WiFi - only semi issue
A great experience, Chris on reception welcomed us warmly and remained so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A large free car park, gym and swimming pool the amenities here are very good. The hotel is modern and very clean, our room had a view of the airport, but was well soundproofed. Bathroom had quality toiletries and a good sized bath. Breakfast was very good, they varied the hot option entrees each morning, coffee in the lobby is available 24 hours a day. Wi-Fi is not great though, that said this was our only criticism.
I would say a standard Hampton Inn hotel, Unfortunately the Hilton chain changes their policy of housekeeping. Still don't see the benefit or win-win-situation for me as guest. I am still paying the same price but get less service. But this is what the high paid management of Hilton chain wants, outsource more services to be done by customers directly and saving costs thereof. Please don't tell me about eco-friendly. The amount of plastic I consumed for one morning breakfeast is in Europe my monthly consumption of plastic. Don't need one-way cutlery, one-way cups and plastic plates and even worse, only one time used plastic cup to bake a waffle. I am not a Green party supporter, but there would be many ways to reduce our waste, by just thinking.
We have stayed at this Hampton many times since it opened years ago and each time the experiences have been consistently good. The hotel is well maintained and extremely clean. The room was a nice size with attractive decor and looked as it was renovated in the past few years. Genuinely friendly staff. Breakfast was better than average. Will definitely be back.
