Best resort experience

Reviewed 3 weeks ago
Beautiful resort, I had a great time with my mom.
The buffet is amazing, so many choices and it was delicious & the bar in the lobby is open 24/7. The best costumer services and amazing people. Definitely 10/10
The view from my room was perfect, close to the beach and close to the buffet and bar.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week vacation at the PCP All Suites and it’s mainly due to the resort staff that keeps us coming back.
As many have commented, the rooms could be updated with more comfortable beds and the addition of at least one chest of drawers for storage but it’s certainly no biggie for us.
The resorts size, maintenance throughout, dining options and food quality are exactly what we look for and keeps us returning ( 9 times in total so far and return planned for December of this year).
That said, it is the hard work, dedication to ensuring a guests needs are met and general excellence of the resort staff that have been the deciding factor of why we return to the Princess twice a year over other resorts we have visited in the DR and other Caribbean destinations.
Iris Moya and Ordalena Almonte are always a pleasure every morning in the buffet to get us started on our day ( Henry makes a great Omelette there too).
Cristal Vasquez is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet, she’s a top reason we enjoy evening suppers at the main buffet, no matter the theme night (always something for everyone anyway). Yaneiry Diaz also makes sure we are well looked after.
Jose Lajars Jimenez is a great manager who ensures we are very well looked after every time we visit and always attentive to the overall flow of the dining areas.
Nancy Peña seems to be everywhere at every hour in every restaurant and again is a true asset to the resort in her fantastic attitude, friendliness and hard work.
Finally and of course, Alexander Gomez needs to be recognized for the hard work and hours he puts in to ensure any and all guests needs are satisfied to the best of his abilities every time we visit.
The above are just a few of the excellent and dedicated staff at the All Suites that keep us coming back!!!

Room tip: Bring any Benadryl, Tylenol etc from home as the can be expensive to purchase on/off site.

Open and honest review

Check in - Super easy, our room was ready right away. We did notice that when we said no to an upgraded room, the guy was not as welcoming.

Room- this is a hard one. First room had no AC and they took hours to agree to move us. Second room - the fan was literally help up by tape and the chain was hanging with an actual bandaid. There was water down the back of our sink that was molding. Overall pretty gross. Had to ask multiple times for extra pillows - they gave us two super flat ones. Bed was not comfortable.

Mini bar - there really isn’t one. Two cokes, a sprite, water, and two beers.

Beach and Pool- both were nice but watch the vendors. We saw them trick a lot of guests and they were rather pushy (yelling that people owed them money, etc). Activites were fun at the pool too.

Restaurants - fondue was good and fun. Italian and Mexican were also good. We did the beach bbq and I got super super sick that night (didn’t really drink so wasn’t that). Buffets were aweful. Our favorite place was the Asian at the resort beside us (Tao). It’s worth getting reservations at the other princess resort right next to us.

Towels/Card issues - we were fortunate not to have these issues but many people did.

Bugs - for the love of all things bring spray, benedryl, whatever works for you. I got hammered with them. At the end of the trip we gave our extra spray, creams, and pills to other guests to help!

Staff - the bartender in the lobby was my favorite. Funny guy and great espresso martini. Most the staff was nice but I feel they ignored us many times we had questions.

Visiting the other resort- it’s worth just walking through the spa to the other side and catching the trolli there. We waited 45 minutes to get one on our side and the staff seemed less than happy to help us. Restaurants were good. Their buffet was bigger but similar food. Alcohol seemed better there. Obviously louder with tons of kids

Alcohol - no clue what it was (maybe the fruit drinks) but neither of us have ever had acid reflux and had a lot of issues with it. The drink choices felt very limited and they didn’t have many common drinks. Frozen drinks were not frozen (I do get it’s hot).

Atmosphere - this is a super quiet resort. Even the live music at night was not really entertaining. But that’s what we wanted. Something quiet and laid back. If you like night life and partying - this is not the place for you.

Gym - it was nice and cool! A lot of machines were broken but there are plenty of weights.

Overall we would never come back. We did have a good time but I would rate this as more of a 2/5 resort. We have done a lot of all inclusive as to compare to and would both say it was less than stellar. They do have some nice staff and it’s always nice to meet new people!

Room tip: Bring bug spray and medicines!

We just completed our 8th visit to PCP. It is our favorite travel destination. Upon entering the lobby we were greeted by some familiar staff members, all of whom recognized us and embraced us saying “welcome back family”
PCP is by far the best value you will find. When I hear complaints about silly little things I just want to say go somewhere else and pay twice the price. It won’t be much different there.
Here are a few of the staff members that provided outstanding service. I don’t know the name of a few but be assured EVERYONE is very kind and helpful.
Nelson in the pool bar
Yosaria is everywhere!
Lahara keeps an eye on the restaurants
Felix “the pool guy” works like crazy to keep everything clean and well stocked.
Felix the evening bartender at the beach deck is always willing to please.
Although he was only there our last day Emilio in the lobby bar recognized us immediately and had us laughing like he was there all week!
Edwina served us with a smile in all of the restaurants.
Ramon Patrick was a fantastic server AND singer!
Alexander in guest services helped in many ways, always with a smile.
I could go on and on, but hopefully you get an idea of the level of service you can expect. The entire team is amazing and we are planning trip number 9 for next year!
If you want fancy ice sculptures don’t go there, if you want a very relaxing vacation PCP is the place to go!

Room tip: Don’t get stressed over some mosquitoes or bugs. Bring bug spray, like you do at home. Seaweed is a natural occurring plant. No worries.

Love this resort! Big enough so there’s plenty to do, small enough so I don’t have to walk a mile to get we’re in going.
The concierge staff are terrific, Alexander specifically going above and beyond to satisfy your needs.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurants are superb…
The beach is pristine!

Room tip: Make sure to get to Le Petite Fondu restaurant
