I was so looking forward to a great vacation after being home for over a year due to the pandemic and looking forward to seeing my family.
My uncle picked this resort thru the help of a agency in the Dominican Republic called Wey Travel and I paid $941 for 2. They spoke of 5 star services and the place is a far cry from 5 stars. I was there from July 23rd thru July 26th. Check in was fast but they give you one card for the room and it was my daughter and myself so 2 keys were needed. We get to the room, it was very hot and there we notice we needed to keep the key card in the AC/LIGHT slot in order for the AC to stay on but they gave me one key. That means your room will become hot if the key card isn't in the slot to keep your AC on while you are out. I had to go back to the desk to ask for another key, 2 cards should be given you should have to go back to ask for another one. In checking the room, there were no wash cloths only one hand towel but there were 2 of us. They have no facial tissues in the bathroom as most hotels have. They only had one garbage pail in the bathroom so every time you have something to threw out you had to make your way to the bathroom. Usually there is a waste basket in the room under the desk. The amenities that were provided were for one person but we were 2. As I go to inspect my sheets, the pillow cases and bed sheets had stains BIG NO NO! Liquor selection was terrible, no top shelf liquor of any kind. Pool areas were just ok, nothing to jump and scream about. There were broken stair cases and the walking area at night is very dark. The only good thing was the food and service from Francisco and the massage on the beach which is not part of the resort. The AC in my room started leaking water and it was all over the place. My cousin report that in her room the fridge was not cooling and no one ever came to fix it. This place is a resort for locals who pay way less the the tourist pay, so if your looking for 5 star resort go to else where, this place is not it.
