It’s the first time we have booked a hotel by checking the reviews, and felt they were totally deceptive. We cannot with our best imagination understand why this hotel got so many good reviews. We have stayed in boutique hotels in other parts of the world. Boutique are small hotel, offering good quality food, extra service and a unique design with a special atmosphere. Peer Boutique hotel has a unique design, but that’s the only resemblance with a boutique hotel. The whole hotel is very worn out. The rooms are very cramped, and they have wall to wall carpets. Who knows what’s crawled in those old and dirty carpets? The wallpapers and paint where torn of in some part. The bathroom was so dark I had to shave outside. The electric light bulb went on and of all the time, probably because of some of electrical malfunction. Some of the tiles in the bathroom where cracked, and added to the worn impressions. They made our bed, and we got new towels every day, but otherwise the cleaning was not sufficient either. E.g. we had to ask for toilet paper several times. The hotels also smelled of humidity and a strange odour. The hotel does not have its own breakfast serving. As one of the staffs said because the kitchen is broken, and need a huge renovation. (The entire hotel needs a huge renovation is our opinion) If you pay for both the room and the breakfast at the hotel, as we did. It’s probably okay to know that breakfast is served in a local street café about 150 meters from the hotel, and service is not included, so you have to tip the staff at the café as well. The upside with this hotel; its just 400 meters to the beach. The hotel is situated in a charming area, with a lot of small restaurants in a labyrinth of small streets. We will I.e. not recommend this hotel.
