The location is excellent, but there isn't much to like about this hotel in terms of price per night compared to other hotels in Tel Aviv (all expensive)
We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel—150 shekels—as we arrived in Tel Aviv on Shabbat, when there was no public transport.

Depending on which side of the street you walk through, pubs, cafes, and a supermarket or grocery store are nearby to the hotel, Beach is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

I found this hotel, as well as hotels in Tel Aviv generally, to be a bit pricey and not particularly luxurious for the money asked. The rooms are a little small for two people.

The room is horrendously out-of-date, and the side lights are damaged.

The hotel has no elevator.

There is a very nice roof deck where you can sit on chairs or a porch swing and watch the ocean; our room was next to the housekeeping pantry, so you can see it inside. The pantry for housekeeping is messy and not organized.

The staff isn't very helpful, and they don't know much about the area or where tourists should go. Even though it's a tour package from a third party, they do know a lot about it.

The word boutique is very far from the hotel. A clearly unpleasant welcome by the person who stated that he was the reception manager, the hotel had no hot water, a broken espresso machine.........
The price does not justify the name. In short, I recommend staying away

Room tip: recommend staying away

#1- don’t have facilities it says it does. No restaurant no bar on premises. I initially chose this hotel as it stated had ALL amenities I wanted after backpacking for last month throughout Israel & Egypt prior to flight home. Says in website you can request “sea view” but in reality you are charged $20 more. But I decided to upgrade being as I was treating myself. Gave me choice 3 rooms. I chose 213. No elevator no offer to help with bags. Desk staff ill informed on covid testing & getting to hotel. Best they got is “take taxi” but I was in Jerusalem so it would have cost something like $100+ USD? I asked around to locals & found out in fact you can take “collective“ transportation for 30 sheckles. Ya, it gets worse. Staff told me ONLY airport & hospital does covid test prior to return flight. Nope. Again I figured out that you can walk less than mile & get done @ cost $27!! Ok so front desk could care less about saving you), fine whatever. Upon check into room I couldn’t get heat to work but it was early so I put off, didn’t need heat then. When I came back to room was getting late so I decided to shower. The shower stall has 2 separate shower heads & I could not figure out how to turn either one off( don’t think it’s option?) so during shower I notice the water is building up. I don’t worry think it will drain eventually, NOT!!! At this point the entire small bathroom is flooded & apparently not draining! There is a 2” pool of water!! I attempted to call their “24/7” front desk but no one there! By this time it is cold & heat still not working. I attempted to start an online chat with front desk as well as Hotels.com whom I made booking through. Nothing. Hotel.com sucks too!!😡😡😡 will not use again. Started 10 different chats with 10 different agents getting nowhere. It’s now been over an hour & it’s late. In the morning there is a message from front desk saying” can we help you?” They send up maintenance dude who tells me that I didn’t shut shower door that’s why it’s flooded!!?? 😂😂😂ya don’t know why I didn’t think of that!!😂😂😂 I tell him send up management & I am told that I need to have back door to outside closed if heater won’t work. Again, why when it’s freezing outside did I not think of closing the door!!?? Truth is door was shut to outside as it was very cold& door to stupid shower with faulty drainage was shut as well. Kicker was I told them I’m checking out do not charge me for upcoming day, management refuses saying “ it’s not their problem”verbatim. Refuse to not charge me for today despite I checkout out before 11am. Maintenance dude had to literally reset the voltage? Inside room panel to get heat working, yet they want to blame me. TV only had 1 single channel. But not important. Management sucks. I took the best of 3 rooms I saw & they all sucked. Yes it’s old hotel but no reason to blame faults on tourists. I wish I had read reviews prior to booking. 😳 now on the upside 😀there’s a fabulous hotel right across the street closer to sea that is cheaper! Balcony 10x bigger for less$!! And they are very kind carried my heavy bag to room, made me expresso😊rooms much nicer too!!😄see separate review for Miami Beach hotel Tel Aviv 😎 I appreciate that as an American, I have disputed charge so it’s no skin off my back. Bell Boutique management should be fired by owner as now not only do I not have to pay for NOT staying today, you’ve got this review. If you would have permitted cancel without charge, I would have just said “shower doesn’t drain”. When I got up to use bathroom during night floor was risked in cold water & with no heat it was horrible. I had to put on boots to brush teeth before bed. You have been warned. ✌🏽

Room tip: Avoid this hotel!! Go to Miami Beach Tel Aviv. Closer to beach cheaper & staff is honest.

The only thing this week place has going for it is location.
I wrote a letter to the manager and have yet to receive a reply!

Attn. Manager.
We are writing in regards to our stay at Bell hotel this past weekend.
There were several issues with the room.
We complained several times but nobody did anything to correct the situation.
The issues were as as follows:
- Friday evening. I discovered that the shower was filthy with old collections of hair in it. The corner of the shower had a large chunk of sand.
We also reported the air conditioning as not working properly. Reception said they would check. Nothing done. We could sleep properly because of the noise.

Saturday we repeated the requests and were reassured everything would be taken care of. Nothing happened!!

Sunday morning my husband realized that the bathroom drain was plugged which explains the hair and other dirty things.
This is entirely unhygienic and serious particularly in these times.

As a travel writer I find this unacceptable and request that you refund us for one night at the Bell.

I have attached some photos and will expect a reply. Certainly hope I won’t have to take this complaint to Health Dept.

We arrived at the hotel with no high expectations, but even those were shattered. The pictures have nothing to do with the reality. The bathrooms were beyond dirty, especially the floor and the shower (mould), the rooms are tiny and smell damp. We knew it’s not going to be the best hotel, but at least a clean room is something one should expect for the expensive prices. Some of the staff was friendly some very unkind. Disappointing and unfortunately never again.
