Right! Let’s not beat about the bush- the first time you see the outside (and inside) of this hotel - you will be wondering what the hell you’ve booked - and no- it looks nothing like the rather clever photos on booking.com etc.
But!!!
Once you get over the initial shock- this hotel is actually a little gem! Let me explain why!
Price- Tel Aviv is incredibly expensive (especially with the weak GBP) - so this hotel was cheap and affordable for us! Plus- Who comes to an amazing city like Tel Aviv to stay all day in their hotel? No one!
Staff- couldn’t do enough for us! They moved rooms for us when we complained (try and get room 205 if you can!) helped us with directions, hair dryer, extra towels and taxi bookings. Always smiling and friendly.
Breakfast- awesome!! Everything from scrambled egg, pancakes, breads, cereals, fresh melon, pastries and traditional Israeli food and orange juice!
Hot and cold water available 24/7 - so you can make yourself a cuppa and fill your water bottle up anytime. Coffee machine and hot chocolate also available!
Shower- endless hot water and worked beautifully! As many towels as you wanted! Just ask if you don’t have enough
Room- basic but very comfortable- great AC and lots of space to hang clothes, safe for valuables etc.
Location- Brilliant and definitely the best thing about the place! 2 min walk, if that, from Jerusalem beach. Central to pretty much everything and anything! We were no more than a 30 min walk from all the ‘must see’ sights!
WiFi- worked brilliantly! Never any issues.
All in all- this hotel is perfect for dumping your stuff, laying your head down and having a decent shower- while scoffing your face with a great and varied breakfast (tip! Put a few pastries in your pocket for a snack for later). It’s not luxurious or beautiful- it’s tired and in desperate need of a renovation- also surrounded by building works (which surprisly weren’t an issue at all). I’d recommend for people on a budget who just want to focus of city exploring and not fussed about what their accommodation looks like.
