Helpful staff and nice to have 2 good restaurants associated with hotel with discount. Our room was very small - clean and well-appointed but tight. I would stay there again given good location - right around the corner from the promenade.
Spent 18 days in 4 different countries and our time in Ascona was by far our most memorable! Not only is the location of Piazza Ascona absolutely breathtaking, the service and attention to detail was top notch.
A great hotel in a fantastic location on the shore of the lake. Hotel staff were friendly and quick at checking me in. My lake view room was in good decor and very clean. Even though the room was on the side of the lake we had no issue with noise. Breakfast is served in a nice room and you have the choice to eat outside as well.. There is ample food to choose from for your continental breakfast.
We ate there several times during a recent stay for the annual jazz festival and found the food to be freshly made and very tasty. The staff were multilingual and very helpful in ordering. Prices here are higher because of the location and the Swiss Franc Exchange rate is so poor for us brits!
Salad and spaghetti carabonara were very basic and rather bland. Quick and friendly service. Excellent location, if you‘re lucky you can have lunch outside in february! Would go back for a drink but, not for lunch. Ok prices for prime location.
