We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Milan, we stayed at the Hilton and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

We arrived very late on the Friday evening but we were still met with a smile and a very fast check in, especially when we just wanted to get to the room and rest after travelling.

The breakfast came as part of our exec upgrade that we arranged on Standby and were delighted we got this as it was a special trip for us, the breakfast was great and again the staff were just brilliant. I can't fault any of them.

The room was lovely, we were met with a fruit salad, cheesecake and bottle of water and this was really nice and tasted good too!

The bed was most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, I wanted to take it home :)

We did have an issue with electric in the room, none of the plugs were working but this was solved within 20 mins of reporting it which was great.

The only let down of the stay was we had very noisy neighbours and this ruined it a little, I mention we arrived late on the Friday, it got to just after 1am and I had to go to reception as we just could not sleep, the room next door sounded like 3 or 4 children having a party. The reception phoned the room instantly whilst I was there and asked they reduce the noise, whilst it didnt make much difference - we had some ear plugs and managed to get through the few days with them.

It is a shame as it did leave a slight sour taste that some guests can be so disrespectful especially with children and being awake at 1am and speaking so loud/screaming / watching TV on full etc

This is in no way fault of hotel though hence the 5 stars and we would definitely return, the staff did what they could and we would definitely return as its in such a great place, 5 mins to main station and 20 min walk to the cathedral etc
