Detailed Reviews

This hotel is about 10/15 mins walks from comasina metro line, problematic when it's 36°c Heat. Its not overly central so I would look at something closer to the centre. The room looks nothing like the pictures with the bright lights on. Bed was very large and comfortable air con was a god send however our pillow cases were dirty on arrival and we also had a dirty towel and there was a coke can left on the balcony from precious guests. I also found it annoying there wasn't a main light in the centre of the room just 2 bedside lights and a light by the door. The rooms are advertised as soundproof we could hear noises from upstairs all night one night someone shuffling not picking their feet up dropping stuff, scraping furniture and the water being used.
Breakfast was plentiful the hot food wasn't hot only warm. Also very difficult to ask for English breakfast tea as the staff didn't always know what we were asking for why they didn't have these teabags out with the other earl grey and fruit bags I don't know.
The area around the hotel is very messy aswell needs a good clean up not very sightly also nowhere nice to sit and relax on site. All in all the stay was average I wouldn't stay again as the location is too far away from the centre you can't just pop back to the hotel to freshen up and go back out its a mission away.
More directed at business people than families or couples.

The hotel itself is nice, rooms are pretty standard, when staying on top two floors you get a balcony. In the room you get complimentary shampoo, body wash, dental kit etc, lots of storage places and a mini fridge. The bed was massive and comfortable, the room did get quite cold though on an evening and there was a strange smell from the sink. The area is very far out from the centre of Milan and there is nothing really located near to the hotel (shops, restaurants and so on). It is also quite a far walk to the train station.

We have just finished our stay at Hotel Da Vinci. The hotel is adequate, that is all. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything, even the elevator moving. The air con didn't work. Needs modernising in places. Needs bringing upto date.

We ate in the restaurant on our last night, food was ok, expensive for what you get. €6 for a 200ml beer.

Location. Literally in the middle of nowhere. Next to the hotel is a deralict Hotel Da Vinci, absolute eyesore, and the first impression of the area. Photo attached.

Train Station is close to the hotel, which is useful.

We tried a few local restaurants these were good. We would recommend the Steakhouse which is around a 12 minute walk from the hotel.

It is a good, big comfortable hotel. The service is The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The service at front dest, restaurant and bar is friendly. As the have conference rooms, it is ideal, for conferences. It is in a quiet area, not much around, but there is a good restaurant and bar inside the hotel. With public transport, the city center is accessable in 15 minutes. As it is outside the city, they have a big parking lot. As I had an appointment outside the city, the position was ideal. As an industrial area is near and the center is far, it is in my opinion more a hotel for business travellers or conferences than tourists. Due to my calendar, I couldn't take the breakfast and so I don't know how it is. Good services are a wake up call and they provide shampoo, as I was traveling with cabin baggage only.

This hotel was half finished, we think due to Covid. The room was spacious but unfinished . A watermark around the walls showed how high the flooding had been.
Bottoms of doors had lost their veneer and were peeling off because of this.

There was one small bottle of body wash for us and the towels looked and felt like second hand dishcloths. The room smelt like drains.

No tea or coffee making. There was a wardrobe with one hanger and what looked a mini bar cupboard and drinks cabinets that was half built in and left unfinished. No Table or chairs. Bed had expensive covers and was confortable,

This hotel just about rates as two star not four.

The international restaurant was boarded up and closed and food could only be obtained in a cocktail bar that sold snacks and burgers.

Not many in the bar although it was hard to see as the lights were so low and everything was painted black. It looked rather like a pick up joint but without strippers or poll dancers. Music blaring everwhere and this too was the sort of music that low disco joints have.

The breakfast was in the basement and to our surprise was clean and ambient. Service here was excellent and so was the food. We enquired and found that the breakfast was run by another business altogether.
Out side was a run down and quite frankly desolute industrial estate and although there was a subway station we would have been frightened to use it such was the desolute potiion especially as there were scrub bushes and rubble all around.

We were booked for three nights and stayed one night, hopefully we will get our refund.

Room was dirty and the staff was extremely rude.
Location is very far from the city center . We had to stay at this hotel because the hotel that we booked overbooked the rooms and we don’t have a room for the night.
We arrived at 3am and the receptionist in the hotel de vincci told us that we must pay the initial rate even though hotel de vincci was much cheaper. When we told the hotel it doesn’t make sense they told us that we are welcome to go to the street. At 3 am.

The hotel is NOT in Milan. It’s a harrowing 15 minute walk from the last station on one of the Metro lines.
The hotel seems to be straight out of a horror movie with dark & dingy exteriors and interiors. The rooms do not have even basic equipment to make coffee/tea. There’s a fridge & locker- both these were not working in our room. There’s no exhaust in the toilet and it ends up smelling really bad. The good thing is that there’s a bidet. There are no glasses in the room or water (I understand that the tap water is good enough to be consumed, but there were no instructions to that effect). We saw several people buying and carrying water from outside.

The neighbourhood seemed really shady and unsafe. There’s an abandoned building next door and the rest of the area has residences. It’s a bad experience for a tourist because there are No restaurants or shop nearby at all. Our stay at Milan was good but the hotel was a really low point.

Stef H wrote a review Dec 2023
We reserved a Family Suite for a weekend at the Da Vinci hotel Milan for the beginning of September 2023 with full advanced payment of the amount due.
After check-in, we realized that the appearance of the room had nothing to do with the description and photos on the booking portals on the internet. While the pictures on the internet show modern rooms, our room resembled a worn-out room in a youth hostel.
When we complained at check-in, we were assured in writing by the hotel management that they would refund 100% of the amount paid for the room via a chargeback to our credit card and that we could leave the hotel free of charge.
After we had not received the money back even weeks later, we contacted the hotel several times. To date, there has been no response to emails, nor have we received the money back. We now feel compelled to take legal action against the hotel.
Overall, very disappointing.
