Visited Hostal Acapulco following a friend’s recommendation and did not regret it. We were greeted by Javier Sotillo who was extremely nice and helpful and made our stay as if we were at home. It is a simple hostel with no amenities but extremely clean, well kept and with an excellent staff. Rooms are simple but very practical, good air conditioning, hot water and clean beds. Definitely a great value right in the center of Madrid.
Great location, friendly and professional staff. The room was clean and felt secure. Toiletries, towels, etc. were provided. It was within walking distance of a number of tourist destinations, good restaurants, and shops. Would recommend!
Our family of four stayed here three nights. We had a room with four beds. We were very pleased with this hotel for the money - a really great value. It was very clean and the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. There was a nice, deep tub in the bathroom as well. The location is very close to Puerta del Sol and within very easy walking distance of Plaza Mayor. We also walked to the royal palace pretty easily. For a short stay, this worked for us and I would definitely recommend it.

We had a great experience. I requested, and got, a quiet room. It was only a 15 minute walk to the Prado, and just a block from the main square. Perfect location, between the Prado and the Royal Palace. There's a cafe right next door. The best chocolate shops are nearby, as is the market. All of the people working there were very friendly. It was not a big room, but it had enough places to put things. Shower worked great, no problems with getting hot water. Elevator worked well. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Madrid.
