Recommend!! GREAT HOTEL

Just came home from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Staff welcoming and friendly.

Hotel room was clean, modern and just what we needed. Bed was big and comfortable, had towels and shower products & a hair dryer. Also has a mini bar if you want however cheaper to buy at a local supermarket.
Also had a balcony but can not smoke on the balcony.

Location wise it is not too bad. Had a few restaurants and shops locally but we decided to venture off to the hotspot areas such as Barcelona Cathedral, Barcelona Beach, La Rambla Street etc. We went to these areas everyday by walking or getting on the bus.
(Bus is very easy to use in conjunction with Google Maps)

We did go to a little cafe / bar around the corner from the hotel called Garbi. Alcoholic drinks are very cheap, food was nice and staff very lovely so if you want a £2 beer go there!

Definitely check out La Boqueria Market if you want to try some new foods, Ciutadalla Park was lovely to walk around and you can row a boat.

Food places we went to but (a bit expensive but well worth it) was Harry’s, La Selva and Boa Bao.

All in all, we had a pleasant stay. I could not fault the hotel, or the staff. Location is not in the centre but very easy to travel to by bus (10-15 min journeys).

If you are going to the hotel or to the airport, do NOT use a taxi!! They are expensive and not worth it. We found out there is a bus that takes you to the airport which was a 2 minute walk away - it cost $7 euros each compared to a $40 euro taxi! I think the journey was around 20-30 minutes by coach/bus. It was easy, cheap and convenient!

Great stay

Great hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and modern, concierge was able to get me a room earlier with a small upcharge so I can pass out from terrible sleepless flight. Right next to the metro so traveling anywhere in the city was easy. Staff scheduled a taxi pickup to Park Guell and the Airport for me. Traveled as a solo hetero male and would stay again and recommended to others as well. Didn't have chance to check out sky bar figured with it being December it would be too cold. I didn't include breakfast in my stay since I'm not a breakfast person but had breakfast one day and it was good

Room tip: Mirrors in the lobby made me think it was bigger lol

Modern hotel for All

A clean and modern hotel, with very friendly staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for all of the lobby receptionists. Particularly Eric who helped us out a couple of times.
We spent four nights in the Two hotel, the breakfast is pretty good value for money
(A change of tea bag wouldn’t go amiss! 😂 my only complaint). The girl in the breakfast room was very efficient and kind.
We didn’t have time to get to the sky bar because we were too busy trying out some of the great restaurants in the city!
Can’t wait to get back.
A great hotel for all.
Don’t be put off by the some of the advertising for this hotel. It’s a worthwhile stay.

A comfortable stay

We enjoyed staying at this ‘hetro friendly’. The rooms were well designed with a great shower and a comfortable bed. The rooftop terrace with small pool and bar was welcoming and a relaxing place to spend time between sightseeing sessions. We found the front desk and housekeeping staff to be attentive and thorough. It’s proximity to the Rocafort metro station made it easy to get to all parts of the city.

Great experience!

We´ve been to TWO by Axel for our first time and it was a great experience.

The hotel is in a side street of the connecting route to the airport. Therefore you can reach the hotel via Aerobus easily. A subway station is right across the street with an easy connection to the shopping center or to the beach.

In contrast to Axel Flagship in Calle d´Aribau, TWO is not settled in the center of "Gayxample" but at the edge o fit which is not that bad. You can reach all the gay bars within 5 to 10 minutes by a short walk and the area is more Spanish/Catalan with lots of nice restaurants and bars. You find supermarkets around the hotel or Mercat de Sant Antoni nearby.

The hotel itself is modern and seems to be a new building with all the Axel elements you know: sky bar, roof top pool and fitness center. The rooms are modern, have much space and you feel comfortable at once. The staff is very nice and supportive. THANK YOU to all we´ve met at the reception. The breakfast buffet is very versatile and fresh. Even with a longer stay it won´t get boring.

We think we´ve found "our" hotel when we will have our next holidays in BCN. Nevertheless we will switch to the Sky Bar in the Flagship for our late evening Cocktails because the roof top in TWO is not open that long night.
