Great location in a beautiful modernist Eixample district. Within a short walk distance from Casa Batllo, Placa de Catalunya, La Rambla and dozens of nearby bars, bakeries and restaurants.
The room we had was overlooking the inner courtyard and was therefore quite quiet, but due to thin walls you could occasionally hear the other guests. The room was clean and smelling really pleasant but its big drawback was its size. It was super tiny. Furnished with just a bed (though a really comfy one) and two very small nightstands. Plus a safe, a small drawer and 4 coat hangers. No chairs, no tables, no desks.
If you are staying for one night only it might be okay, but if for more nights you may find it inconvenient and irritating (even if you only sleep there spending whole days exploring a stunning Barcelona). There is literally no place to put you cloths, you end up keeping them in your luggage on the floor.
Bathroom is not really a bathroom per se. It is located in a petit entrance hall, so if you want to enter the shower, you have to close the bathroom door first as everything is basically cramped on 3-4 square meters. Rather uncomfortable.
No kettle, no glasses, no plates, no cutlery. Only Spanish channels on TV.
This was the most basic and the smallest room we’ve ever stayed in. It wasn’t a bad stay overall, but will not return.
We did not purchase breakfasts so can’t comment on that.
The reception desk staff was nice and always smiling.
