So bad. I spend 2000€ and got a treble service. Never again. Not even for free. The hotel staff are racists. Don't go there.

Excellent hotel with extremely helpful staff. Hotel is an old, architecturally interesting, police station converted into a very nice, modern facility. Location near las Ramblas is superb. Restaurants, market and great shopping within walking distance, as is the underground Metro. 30 yards from the Gaudi palace.

We stayed here for 5 nights (13-18th Nov) and had a good experience.
When we arrived at 12pm, the staff allowed us to go straight to the room which was nice as we expected that it would be unavailable at that time.
The room was clean, and we had a nice view overlooking the pool and patio. Our room had two single beds pushed together with no fixtures to hold them together. However, the beds and pillows we thought were comfortable.
The breakfast had a good selection of food; fruit, juices, pastries, bread, meats, cheese, yoghurts, and a small variety of hot food.
The staff were very helpful, Joel particularly offered good advice on where to eat on our last night and was friendly.
The location for us was perfect, 4 minute walk to the nearest metro, walking distance to the hundreds of food options on La Rambla and 5 minute walk from the Boqueria market.
A few negatives - There was not a safe in the room, I would have preferred one. There was no air conditioning, or it wasn’t working in our room meaning we had to leave the window open at night. Also, we just happened to be the room next door to a nightclub which was loud at night, but not the hotel’s fault! We expected noise as this hotel is so central.
Beautiful communal areas. We had no major concerns, we would return !
The hotel is situated in a run down area of Barcelona with boarded up houses, graffiti on the walls and people sleeping rough in doorways. The hotel was extremely basic and unattractive. The rooms were poorly furnished with small thin towels and a sliver of soap. This would only compare with the cheapest hostel with no redeeming features. A very mean hotel with no redeeming qualities.
We're sorry to hear about your negative experience. However, we disagree regarding our beloved Raval neighborhood. We understand it may not be the most attractive neighborhood in the city, but we don't believe it is as you describe it. Our hotel is situated in front of the historic Palau Güell, a magnificent example of domestic architecture within the context of modernism.
Nevertheless, we apologize that it did not meet your expectations, and your suggestions will be taken into account to improve our guests' experience."
