Sant Jordi Hostels is a bit about providing an awesome experience, and a bit about providing a nifty comfortable space. Entering the hostel feels like entering a club with floor lights, but this turns to different dimensions when you enter an adjacent 2 directional elevator, walk down "shady" looking steps into an amazing common space with portraits of the members of the Beatles are embossed through a mini-pyramidic surface. But the better part is the dining hall with cooking space and a fridge that makes you feel like you've entered a "busy for dinner" restaurant without the yelling, pot n pan throwing and the abusing (well, maybe the last one holds true - but in a family friendly way). The perfectly cozy-sized balcony is enough to make you feel at home.
Better yet, the awesome staff - Vicki, Sophia, Claudia with an O, Jean Pierre, José and not to forget Kakau (or Cacau - sorry if I got the spelling wrong) and Fabian are always there (in shifts) to talk you into why you should have a good time in Barcelona by pre-loading you with ample information about the city before you go out exploring, make sure you're having a good time, and somehow always seems to have a solution to every problem you have, and take care of the check-in/check-out procedure with nothing but pure efficient ease - like a breeze (rhyme intended).
Definitely a must-visit, if not for the stay, at least for the in-house Chef David's "plate of the night" which will definitely make you want to shift to this hostel then!
