I really enjoyed my stay in Evenia Rocafort hotel. The hotel is really modern and quiet. The reason I haven't given it full marks is because the room is that little bit too small. There isn't much space between the end of the bed and the bathroom wall. They could have actually made the bathroom a bit smaller and the bedroom a bit bigger.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful.. although I feel they could improve on their directions. As a non Spanish speaker, it would be helpful if they wrote down on a piece of paper the names of the streets.
The hotel said it had an offer three nights for two but I pre booked 3 nights and paid in advance and this offer was not applied to me. I booked an additional night though another website when they didn't have availability on the own website. I booked one night with breakfast. The breakfast was a nice continental breakfast and enjoyable. However, to save money I would recommend going to the cafeteria vivari which is just across the road from the hotel. Their pastries are to die for. They also have sandwiches and quiches.
The location is very good, not far from plaza espanya. We got the blue airport bus to there which is the first stop and it was perfect. Both the hop on hop off buses go from there also. We got the red but but there always seemed to be a lot more of the other bus. It is a good investment to get the two day bus ticket.
There is a great supermarket in the shopping centre at plaza espanya, I would highly recommend it. Magic fountain also there which is a lovely sight at night time
The walk to Las rambles took us over twenty minutes. I wouldn't walk it again and get the metro instead which is really easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Overall, really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and would love to go back. Barcelona is such a cool city and there's lots to do an
