The best hotel staff in whole Barcelona and very clean, quiet, comfort place in the heart of the city

My girlfriend and I came to Barcelona for a week and we stayed in Hotel 1898 and I have to admit - I have never in my life been treated so well by hotel staff as here. They were cheerful, helpful and knew the city very well, which made it easier for us to explore and recommended us really excellent restaurants. The hotel room itself was very clean and nice to come back to, it provided a lot of comfort. I highly recommend staying in this place and if it's your first time in Barcelona the Hotel 1898 is a must - staff will provide extra care and help and make your trip so much better!

Service 10/10

Loved the service there! Especially girls in the reseption, thank you for your kindness. It was my first trip to Barcelona. Room and the atmosphere was delightful. Location was perfect and the rooftop was beautiful. Glad to be back there next time!

Very rude staff

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, as part of our Spain vacation. The hotel itself is beautiful, and in a very good location. However, from the moment we arrived, the staff at the hotel were rude and unhelpful. It seemed as if it was an inconvenience to answer a question or provide any guidance. We felt very unwelcome. I will never stay there again.

Wine Tasting at 1898

We had Chiara as our sommelier and she was FANTASTIC! Had such a great experience and sipped on some great wines! Definitely recommend 10/10 service and such a good opportunity to meet other hotel goers! She was so knowledgeable and so sweet and fun!!

Room tip: Request Chiara!

Wine Tasting

Chiria provided an amazing wine tasting for my friend and I. We have experienced many wine tastings around the world and she was definitely one of the best if not THE BEST. Amazing wine and an amazing experience with Chiara. Made everyone feel like family, amazing service, kind, lovely, and welcoming!!!! Definitely knew exactly what she was talking about with each and every wine.
