beautiful, fantastic hotel with a great location. A big advantage is the fact that the hotel provides parking. additionally it has a wonderful terrace overlooking the rooftops of Barcelona. On the terrace, there is a swimming pool and a nice bar. Very good service. Breakfasts fine.

Lovely hotel situated in the heart of Barcelona. The front of the hotel is on Las Ramblas, a stones throw from the Place de la Catalunya the location is perfect for those short on time but want to experience everything Barcelona has to offer. The hotel is beautiful… roomy bedrooms with good facilities, my husband said one of the best he has ever stayed in… the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The hidden gem is the spa… visit after the afternoon rush in the early evening when other guests are getting ready to go for dinner for the most relaxing experience. All in all a wonderfully pleasurable stay. Will return!

Beautiful hotel, perfectly maintained. Staff and facilities exceeded all expectations. Comfortable beds (best I've ever experienced), stunning rooms, ideally located on La Rambla with a taxi stop outside the front door. Barman was world-class. Reception staff were super accommodating and helpful, beyond expectation. Stunning spa and pool facilities.

Extraordinary stay with memorable experience. Wonderful clean product located right on La Ramblas. Outstanding service from courteous staff ever eager to be accommodating to any request, felt as if hosted in a private home.
Rooftop terrace with outdoor pool with relaxing atmosphere and a bar to help relax! Was slightly chilly weather so used the wonderful spa located on Level -1 which had a sauna, steam and a heated pool with jets to help massage the muscles after a days sight-seeing.
Very varied delicious breakfast on the first floor with a view of the hustle, bustle of tourists along the Ramblas but being a million miles away.
Can not recommend it enough and hope to return on our next visit to a iconic city.

Hotel 1898 is in a prefect location for anything you want to see in Barcelona. Walking distance to all the best neighborhoods. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. And the rooftop pool and bar are a perfect place to wind down after a long day of exploring.
