Stayed one night after cruise just off Las Ramblas near Placa de Catalunya. It is a hotel/hostel. Comfortable bed. Clean. Lots of hot water. Good spot right next door for breakfast from 6AM. I could not turn on the TV. Walls are pretty thin.Reasonable price.Friendly staff. Free wi-fi.
The Aneto hotel is located very close to La Rambla which makes it a perfect place to stay at while visiting Barcelona. The staff of the hotel was kind and very helpful with my special requests. The only disadvantage of this hotel is a hall which is shared by all the rooms on each floor. The noisy latecomers might wake you up at night. I also do not recommend the breakfast offered by the hotel. It is served at the bar next door. However, you cannot choose what you want to eat and the given choice is simply not worth the money. What I recommend additionally is a great local restaurant at the corner nearby called the Tosca Palau.
For what we paid I though this hotel was spot on. It is a budget hotel - similar price to a hostel but this way just 2 of us in a room. The rooms are clean and come with great air con. They include a safe too. We had a private bathroom down the corridor. (We have the key)
It is a bit noisy in the corridors but I didn't mind this too much.
The location was brilliant - minutes from La Rambla.
The place also feels very safe. A quiteish street and 24 hour reception with the door locked at night too.
If in the area again with friends I would stay here.
Location of the hotel is perfect, just off La Rambla, around 2 minutes walk from the Liceu Metro station.
The staff were friendly, there is a very small lift (max 3 people) which works just fine. The room itself is very clean - with towels changed every day, reasonably sized and has all the basics: hair dryer, safe, towels and a comfy bed. The shower/bath was very powerful, with toiletries supplied which we didn't use as brought own own. The walls were thin so if there was noise you could hear it but when we stayed this wasn't a problem.
The breakfast is for 2 croissants, orange juice and tea/coffee at the 365 cafe next door which was delicious.
Overall a great little cheap hotel which we would recommend.
This is a no-frills budget hotel near La Rambla and the Liceu subway station. The room is pretty small. There can also some noise at night. Other than that, this place is unbeatable. Every thing is clean and tidy. The security guard i.e. reception is friendly and helpful. Hotel Aneto is not luxurious, but it's convenient and a good value for money.
