We have been staying at hotel Olivia Balmes for a week of vacations in Barcelona with our family of 4. We usually go to a different hotel when we come to Barcelona but the place was closed due to COVID (we love to travel in the most exclusive place when we can).
I must say that I have been amazed by the level of service of Olivia Balmes staff, from the booking (direct booking that took into account all my specific needs) to the front desk and at the restaurant. We had a lot of very kind and very useful attentions. The staff was always available and give us the best effort to make our stay the best possible.
Room are nice. Location is great. But the staff is, by far, the most customer oriented that we have experienced in Spain. The kids did not want to leave after a week of great vacations.

I work in the Hospitality Industry and being in the Olivia Balmes Hotel last Monday 21st of December reminded me what this industry should be all about. OUTSTANDING Service and going that "extra mile" for a great customer experience. Besides getting the basics perfect in the midst of a pandemic, Lenin and Josep in the front desk gave an outstanding service that uplifted me and my family. This is what it should be about! Not the stars, not the amenities, but what truly makes a hotel stands out is the outstanding teams that are giving the customer the best experience ever. I have never enjoyed Barcelona so much and it was thanks to these fine gentlemen. Who knew this would happen in the midst of a pandemic...

During this complicated times, and before the weekends confinement took place, we decided to spend the weekend in Barcelona. I can tell you that everything was perfect. We felt safe and welcome. We had a beautiful room facing Balmes street with a lot of light, the food was great and they gave us a bottle of cava for free. Furthermore, we were allowed to make a very late check out. Very good value for money.
