This a clean and neat hotel in a very practical location in the city. Walking distance to La Rambla, old city streets with some of monumental buildings and even the port of Barcelona. The breakfast is very satisfying and there is also a bar and restaurant if you prefer to stay in. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Communication before arrival was prompt and helpful. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. We had a balcony facing the very busy street but once the doors were closed it was absolutely silent. Add to this shutters and some of the best black out curtains I’ve ever had in an hotel it was perfect for sleeping.

Hotel Catalonia Gran Via BCN
The hotel itself is decent and well located for touring around Bilboa. My biggest beef is with hotel recommended restaurants, specifically Gure Kabi. They recommended this place to us and it was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Bad service, lousy food, staff were unfriendly. Dropped our bread right on the table. Way expensive for the food and service considering so many much better places nearby. Hotel ok, but be cautious of their culinary recommendations.

Room was quiet , comfortable , well set out, bed very comfy. Rooms tidied every day. Staff friendly & helpful could check in bags early. Fantastic location, easy to get around via walking , bus or taxi. Loads of places near by to eat breakfast , lunch & tea. Areobus about 10 min walk away. Loved it & would stay again

Great location to explore the city. Family room was really spacious. Excellent breakfast included in our stay. The rooftop pool was lovely to get a dip in while enjoying some sun. The staff were very welcoming and I would return to this hotel if staying in Barcelona again.
