This was the third time we stayed at this hotel and we will be happy to return. Clean, good beds, very service minded staff and right on the beach. Fast WIFI. We had rooms with a view to the beach and the sea and had the wonderful sunrise with us in the morning.
There are sun loungers by the pool and good to take a bath and relax after a tour of the city.
I am an English speaker. I booked my stay with Occidental for my honeymoon. I had one night for when I landed into Barcelona. Afterwards I would take a Mediterranean cruise and return to Occidental for a second booking.
The first booking was a mild wreck.
First off, the receptionist misread our reservation and gave us the wrong room. Was not until an hour after we checked in that we were properly sent to our correct room number.
Secondly, I forgot some of my things in the hotel during the checkout process. Not in the room but on the reception counter or the breakfast buffet area. I called the hotel after I realized I had forgotten (exactly 10 minutes later when I arrived to my cruise’s port and took my bags out of the cab). The receptionist (a different one than the young lady that mixed up my room reservation) spoke a little bit of English and I tried my best to explain that I was going to be back in a week after my cruise and hope he is able to hold my items for me. Unfortunately he did not understand me, which I do not at all fault the gentleman for; I completely acknowledge it was on me for forgetting and for not being fluent enough in the language to explain. However, the receptionist began to yell at me over the phone. I assumed it was a complete misunderstanding and had my wife explain in Spanish (in which she is fluent) what had happened. He yelled at her as well and told us that there was nothing in our room. At no point did either of us ask for something missing in the room and we tried to explain that our things were most likely right there on his desk or at a table immediately in front of him. Apparently that was the last straw and the receptionist hung up. We returned a week later and our things were completely lost. No one at the hotel knows where it went or if it was reported that a patron left anything at the front desk while checking out. And not once did any reception seem bothered by the fact that this was completely avoidable. Oh well, it was my fault for forgetting my things in the first place; I just hoped that a hotel that charged this much would at least have polite/professional staff that can read reservations and listen to patrons.

hotel at nice location close to beach, room decoration very nice and great view. Breakfast had al the right ingredients with good refill of the buffet. Just cros the street and you are at the beach and sports area.

Stayed here for 3 nights during a work trip. Great location just by the beach. Lobby area and bar is great. We had some delays at check which was frustrating but not the end of the world. Rooms are nice with good views. Only downside to the rooms are the water pressure is not great and the walls are not soundproof in anyway.
Breakfast is nice with a good selection of the usual stuff.
