What a gem! Having a pool at the hotel was the perfect touch. Our suite had an amazing shower as well. We spent the week in the lap of luxury. We will be back. Thank you.

Review of Hotel Gran Derby Suite

We chose Gran Derby because my husband and I were traveling with our teen daughter and wanted to have her WITH us but give each of us our "space and privacy" so this fit the bill! Our king bed was very comfortable and she slept well on her twin bed in the entrance area of the suite. The bathroom was very nice and the shower/water pressure was the BEST! One thing to note is that this hotel IS about a 15 min cab ride from the port/central area/Rambla area of Barcelona. there is public transit VERY close by - we just didn't try to navigate it. There is a cab station outside of the entrance to the hotel so we had easy accessabilty to transportation. All reception personnel were very pleasant during our stay. Will look at this brand when in Europe again!

Our room was quite spacious and very quiet as it faced the back garden and pool. The bed was large and comfortable. Extra amenities like robes, slippers, bath salts, and a red rose were a nice touch. The internet and TV stations were great. Reception was friendly and efficient. We even dipped our toes in the pool. The location is about 20 minutes farther than where we usually stay, but the neighborhood has lots of markets, places to get coffee, and is more residential than touristy.

Excellent location, close to bus routes and therefore an easy 15 min access into & out of town. Whilst fairly central, it was still delightfully quiet (restful) with plenty of good, simple, local & also high quality restaurants, close-by. Staff were all very efficient, helpful & responsive to our requests. The suite was comfortable and spacious. We would book again & I'm happy to recommend.

A really nice hotel - very comfortable room & amenities, quiet neighborhood (peaceful respite after full days of sightseeing and exploring Barcelona), convenient location, and, best of all, great staff/team that made us feel very welcomed and well cared for.
Room tip: A little away from the ‘tourist’ paths - but a very nice quiet getaway in a big city

The staff of the main desk were so welcoming and helpful all through our stay. While it was a bit difficult having a locksmith repairing our room lock for what seemed like at least an hour during a time when we wanted to use the room, it was appreciated that he was able to solve the problem on a Friday evening. It was also appreciated that we were repaid with breakfasts each morning. The staff seemed to go above and beyond at every step of our stay, providing a place for us to have the meals we had brought in, together with our family staying in the Derby across the street, making us hot water for coffee and tea, and always greeting us with a smile and with an attitude that nothing would be too much to ask. Appreciated the thick towels and places to hang them. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Enjoyed hanging out by the small pool. Appreciated the mint and orange flavored waters in the lobby.
