Travelling for business. Hotel bar is closing at 23.00 sharp and personnel actually does not like to serve you there already some minutes before. Please be aware of that. When you have a show like ISE or Mobile World and want to have a beer to close the day with some colleagues then consider this before you book. In general, i would say this hotel i just above average.

We spent four nights at the Ilunion Barcelona Ramon Tores Hotel for Christmas 2023 as a family. We are very disappointed overall with the services of the hotel. The rooms were not cleaned properly. Towels, toiletries, water were missing, and we had to call the reception often. Very poor cleaning of rooms. The breakfast was fine; however, one of the mangers behaved very unethically. My sister and her husband usually have a coffee/juice prior to walking and then have breakfast. One of the mangers told them it is not allowed since it is considered to eat twice; that was the first time experiencing that. They travel a lot and have no such an issue around the world. However, the manger on duty yelled at them and behaved in such unprofessional manner. The only good thing about this hotel is the location near the water, metro is not far; however, its far from the center and not in a modern area of Barcelona.

Service great and cleanliness great. Breakfast good Wi-Fi good. Gym small but recently renewed. That’s about it. I felt very welcome by the staff who did a great deal to help me. But the rest of the hotel and experience is dated. Year 70’s old rebranded hotel. But don’t go off my review as the they are renovating. As of now it was only the lobby but they sure continue with the rooms. I slept well, the beds are still comfortable and that’s important. Location nothing special if you are not set to be there.

We stayed here for 3 nights (November 16 to November 19) and our overall experience was below average. By any means, they should not call it a 4-star property.
Let’s start with check-in process. As soon as we handed our passports for check-in the guy in the reception asked us if we would like to pay more and get a room upgrade becuase the room we are getting isn’t very nice. I was like we are here for the sightseeing so let it be. How bad it can be? We denied paying the money for the room upgrade. Next he tried to sell us the breakfast which again we denied. Anyways, when we entered the room we were like a room in a 4-star property can’t be like this. It was quite dated with old furniture and the paint was peeling off the walls. I wouldn’t talk much about the room, do check the pictures and you’ll get an idea.
Staff of the hotel were strictly okay. One day housekeeping staff didn’t provide/replace the towels and complimentary water bottles, so we called the reception and the lady said okay we will send it in a few minutes, but it seems she completely ignored our request. Towels and water bottle didn’t come. Location is not central, but still okay.
If I visit Barcelona again, then I wouldn’t stay here and also I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Very clean and nice Hotel in quiet (not busy) location - easy to find and very good connected to the public transport. I fully recommend. I enjoyed my stay here. Very nice restaurant, the breakfast was delices.
