What a cute hotel. Although not as grandeur as the hotels in North America, this one has the necessary space and lighting for your stay to make you comfortable. It’s not a very busy hotel in comparison to those in the core strip of La Rambla, which can be trekked to and from within 40mins each way.
The hotel location is ideal for visiting main central areas of Barcelona. It is in a relatively safe and lively neighbourhood near the Arena de Barcelona with walking distance to local restaurants, pubs and tapa tapa.
The room is hardwood flooring throughout. Bed is nicely tugged in with a medium hard mattress decorated by three nice pillows of varying heights and softnesses. The room is dark when blinds are closed giving you that much needed rest. It’s in a quiet area and you will sleep well. You don’t hear much of your neighbour except when the toilet is flushed. The room has a small fridge tugged underneath a long table. Room includes free WI-FI with good internet speed. The bathroom is clean and is decorated with green ceramics marbles. Hotel provides shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush & toothpaste , comb, paper towels, shoe polisher and even a shaver.
The shower head has great pressure and the drain in the tub is quick, leaving no staying water. My only complaint is the water dripping onto the floor when shower because the glass divider is not well sealed at the bottom.
Get the breakfast option for your stay as it is well worth it and is excellent. The restaurant/breakfast area is very inviting and is in a spacious setting. You won’t feel crammed. It also has a very nice patio for the smokers or for those loving the outdoor heat.
We would stay here again.
